Since man created or gave way to civilization there have been conflicts, the reason from my point of view, everyone only sees their interests, regardless of the need of the other, respect their rights or also to desire what another has and sometimes take it by force, this can occur both internally and from outside, the issue is that the consequence of conflicts, The issue is that the consequence of conflicts, disease, natural disasters, humanitarian aid may be needed, so that this can be given there are a lot of people who materialize it, called humanitarian workers, who can often cross the borders of their countries to support others, so it is celebrated every August 19 World Humanitarian Day.

In 2003, precisely on this date in the city of Baghdad, Iraq, there was an attack against the headquarters of the United Nations Organization, located in that city, where 22 people died including a Brazilian diplomat named Sergio Vieira de Mello, who had 34 years working to help those in need, no matter where they were, so after 8 years of the attack it was decided to decree the creation of this date.

Now, I would like first of all to clarify that this publication aims to publicize this date and the work that selflessly provide those who adhere to it, which has been used for other things is sad and I think it should be rescued and ensure that it returns to be something without color or political or economic tilde, so here I leave them what is in theory the purpose of Humanitarian Aid.

Humanitarian aid is a sector within the Official Development Assistance that is defined as assistance designed to save lives, alleviate suffering and maintain and protect human dignity, in prevention or in emergency and/or rehabilitation situations. According to the United Nations, to be classified as humanitarian, aid must be consistent with the principles of humanity, impartiality and independence, in addition to neutrality....

So humanitarian workers go to different countries around the world to natural disasters, diseases, conflicts, among other events to provide medical assistance and other aid to help the victims of these events, since the emergence of Covid -19, this aid has intensified and many of the collaborators have lost their lives to catch and die, so since 2020 this day is celebrated with greater emphasis, to make noting the risks to which people who choose to collaborate and work in this noble work are exposed.
