En la música hay diversidad de posibilidades, infinitas diría yo. Para mí la música es cuando una obra transmite sonidos que conectan con tu alma de manera agradable, incluso cuando hay emociones tristes en una canción, a tu cerebro le calmaría esa canción si se siente identificado con emociones negativas.
En la música no hay límites, cualquier sonido puede transformarse en música. Por ejemplo, me gustó mucho cuando Rosalía, hizo algo con el sonido de los carros y motos en una canción, ella sampleó el sonido del acelerar un motor, específicamente en su canción "DE AQUÍ NO SALES", pero para desmarcarse de los que quizá lo habían intentado sin tanta obsesión, en esta canción se nota que quiso explotar esa idea, hasta hacer secuencias rítmicas solo con un chop de motores y frenos. Y pienso eso, porque gracias a este tipo de ideas la música se mantiene infinita en posibilidades.
Muchas personas piensan que la música se trata de un sonido convencional de cualquier instrumento y una voz, pero olvidan que están limitando su creatividad con todos los recursos y conocimientos que están a la mano a día de hoy.
De hecho, en esta canción de Rosalía, mientras suenan las secuencias rítmicas de motores y frenos, ella sigue cantando con su virtuosismo característico y además usando uno de los recursos favoritos de mi día a día, el Autotune.
El autotune es un recurso puramente artístico, algunos lo ven como un instrumento, yo lo veo como una herramienta que potencia el instrumento, que sería la voz.
Muchos despretigian el autotune, porque con un prejuicio lo confunden y lo hacen ver como que una voz con autotune es menos que una voz natural con talento, pero eso puede ser la equivocación más grande, una voz con autotune y una voz virtuosa con talento, no deberían ser comparadas, porque son proyectos distintos y ROSALÍA es el más vivo ejemplo de cómo ambas habilidades se complementan.
Me encanta escuchar una voz virtuosa, impecable, con grandes capacidades, pero entiendo que hay muchas voces con autotune que logran sonidos que una voz natural no, porque de eso se trata, y eso no hace que la voz natural se más o menos, porque obviamente ocurre lo contrario, una voz natural también logra sonidos que una voz con autotune jamás podrá generar y la cantante peruana Yma Sumac, sería el ejemplo más sólido para esto.
Mi single Exquisito
Yo soy un artista musical, que puedo decir me caracterizo por mi creatividad melódica. Me encanta hacer melodías nuevas, aunque sean simples, lograr sonidos pegajosos, sencillos, repetitivos o no, mi fuerte como artista está en crear estribillos, puentes y versos melódicos.
Sé que gran parte de esa calidad musical que me gusta fomentar, priorizo buscarla con las posibilidades que abre el autotune, no suelo usar autotune por una "necesidad" o porque no sepa cantar o entonar, sino porque sé que el autotune me daría un sonido que no puedo dar con mi voz natural y ese sonido que genera el autotune, a mí me potencia como melómano de mi propia música.
Esta canción que se titula "Exquisito", fue algo que escribí en unas vacaciones y de verdad, la simpleza melódica a mí me conectó muchísimo y formalizar una canción tan corta, me hace seguir confiando en mi proyecto como artista musical, porque creo en mí y en mi talento como compositor.

She sampled the sound of an engine revving, specifically in her song “DE AQUÍ NO SALES”, but to set herself apart from those who may have tried it without such obsession, in this song you can tell that she wanted to exploit that idea, even creating rhythmic sequences with just the chop of engines and brakes. I think that's because, thanks to these kinds of ideas, music remains infinite in its possibilities.
Many people think that music is about the conventional sound of any instrument and a voice, but they forget that they are limiting their creativity with all the resources and knowledge that are available today.
In fact, in this song by Rosalía, while the rhythmic sequences of engines and brakes play, she continues to sing with her characteristic virtuosity and also uses one of my favorite everyday resources, Autotune.
Autotune is purely an artistic resource. Some see it as an instrument, but I see it as a tool that enhances the instrument, which is the voice.
Many people disparage autotune because they confuse it with prejudice and make it seem like a voice with autotune is less than a natural, talented voice, but that may be the biggest mistake. A voice with autotune and a talented, virtuoso voice should not be compared because they are different projects, and ROSALÍA is the living example of how both skills complement each other.
I love listening to a virtuoso voice, impeccable, with great capabilities, but I understand that there are many voices with autotune that achieve sounds that a natural voice cannot, because that's what it's all about, and that doesn't make the natural voice better or worse, because obviously the opposite is true: a natural voice can also achieve sounds that a voice with autotune can never generate, and the Peruvian singer Yma Sumac would be the strongest example of this.
My single Exquisito
I am a musical artist, and I would say that I am known for my melodic creativity. I love creating new melodies, even if they are simple, achieving catchy sounds, whether they are simple, repetitive, or not. My strength as an artist lies in creating choruses, bridges, and melodic verses.
I know that much of the musical quality I like to promote, I prioritize seeking it with the possibilities that autotune opens up. I don't usually use autotune out of “necessity” or because I can't sing or intonate, but because I know that autotune would give me a sound that I can't achieve with my natural voice, and that sound generated by autotune empowers me as a music lover of my own music.
This song, titled “Exquisito,” was something I wrote on vacation, and honestly, the melodic simplicity really connected with me. Formalizing such a short song makes me continue to believe in my project as a musical artist, because I believe in myself and my talent as a composer.
