After a bit of a pause, I'm getting back to creating this 2026 "Work Catalog." To recap: these are simple photos of the stones just painted during the previous week, shown in "raw" format, before they get their protective finish coat.
I'm using the Danish numbering system for weeks that I grew up with, which means weeks start on Monday and end on Sunday. As much as anything, the purpose of these posts is to create a "work catalog" of sorts. Last week it finally felt like I got a little bit back on track, as far as creativity goes.
That said, it was also a little bit different from normal weeks in the sense that I had a very singular focus.
I did paint the one small pale stone (pictured above), which is going to end up in my wife's "client giveaways" which I actually need to build up a bit, as these small pieces are being used as "incentives" to sign up for a new workshop she has created.
However, most of what I did revolved around what we call "Gateway Stones."
These were painted last week
This is a long-term project that has been in the planning for about six years, but only now I am starting to get organized enough and have time enough to start paying serious attention to it.
Last week, I painted five so-called "5-5 Gateway Stones," which are based on an original larger stone that was part of a special commission completed in 2020.
As you can see, they are quite similar in terms of colors and core design, although the details and sizes obviously vary a little bit... but these are designed to be offered up for sale, while the original l;arger stone is part of a "permanent collection" for a sacred space.
Some of the new stones, shown with the much larger original from 2020.
This is really a collaboration with my wife's White Light Express ministry, but the stones will also become a way for me to have a more substantial tie into the spiritual and metaphysics community.
Explaining it all in detail would take up much more room than I have here in these pages so I'm just going to share the pictures of the five stones that I painted last week along with the picture of the original 5-5 Gateway Stone.
Not really expecting great things is coming week because I'm mostly going to be working on taxes and bookkeeping which has a deadline that is not too far in the distance. I'd like to get it done a lot sooner than the habitual last moment rush a couple of days before April 15th... we'll see how that works out!
In other news, we did get our first "invitation to apply" to one of the large juried Holiday shows... this one in December, and historically one of the highlights of the year!
Thank You!
