Cuando creí que habíamos terminado con el cuarto, surgió otro problema y es que la cama que teníamos puesta era bastante estresante, la cama de madera que he mostrado por aquí anteriormente era muy bonita pero detrás de la belleza se escondían mil problemas. Era una cama que acumula DEMASIADO polvo, por mas que la limpie siempre tiene muchísimo polvo, incluso la ultima vez que la limpie fue hace menos de una semana y hoy que la revisamos parecía que llevaba meses sin limpiarse. Además de eso tambien es una cama que se arma por partes (con tornillos) y cada cierto tiempo esos tornillos se aflojaban y había que apretarlos nuevamente, pero recientemente esto pasaba MUY seguido, hoy al desarmarla para arreglarla nos dimos cuenta que tenia una parte de metal rota.
Just when I thought we were done with the room, another problem arose: the bed we had was quite stressful. The wooden bed I've shown here before was very pretty, but behind its beauty lurked a thousand problems. It was a bed that accumulated WAY too much dust. No matter how much I cleaned it, it was always incredibly dusty. The last time I cleaned it was less than a week ago, and today when we checked it, it looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. On top of that, it's a bed that's assembled in parts (with screws), and every so often those screws would loosen and need to be tightened again. But recently, this was happening VERY frequently. Today, when we took it apart to fix it, we realized that a metal part was broken.
Decidimos que era mas contras que PRO y nos deshicimos de la cama jaja, teníamos una litera guardada la cual es de metal y siento que es mucho mas facil de limpiar y es bastante resistente, asi que la pusimos… Aunque ahora mi preocupación es que mi hijo no se mate de la litera pero ya hablé seriamente con él.
We decided it was more cons than pros and got rid of the bed haha. We had a bunk bed stored away which is metal and I feel it's much easier to clean and quite sturdy, so we put it up... Although now my concern is that my son might kill himself on the bunk bed, but I've already talked to him seriously about it.
Fue bastante complicado, limpiar, desarmar, armar, botar pieza por pieza la cama antigua, bajarla en ascensor por 14 pisos y salir a la calle a botarla, todo fue bastante agotador pero siento que es un cambio bastante positivo, tendremos menos polvo acumulado, mas facilidad de limpiar e incluso mas facil de hacer la cama ya que la otra era super dificil de arreglar.
It was quite complicated: cleaning, disassembling, reassembling, taking apart the old bed piece by piece, taking it down 14 floors in the elevator, and then going outside to throw it away. It was all quite exhausting, but I feel it's a very positive change. We'll have less accumulated dust, it will be easier to clean, and it will even be easier to make the bed since the other one was super difficult to fix.
Nos llevo todo el día pero quedo bastante lindo, por ahora mi hijo no se ha matado desde la parte de arriba de la cama y espero que siga asi,
It took us all day but it turned out quite nice. So far my son hasn't killed himself by falling from the top of the bed and I hope it stays that way.
Y aquí esta Tommy disfrutando de la cama (la parte de abajo) junto a mi jaja mientras mi hijo esta arriba jugando con sus juguetes.
