A few months ago I met a wonderful place, which I never thought I would like so much, since I am more of a beach team, but I was really amazed by the south of Chile and its southern zone, it was incredible, I felt like in a movie, get to know the Torres del Paine and its surroundings, now I invite you to read me a little to tell you more about this fascinating trip:
Llegando al lago Grey
One of the first stops was at the Gray Lake, a huge lake that has an amazing view of the imposing Gray Glacier and the towers, this lake has a black earth beach because it is of volcanic origin, it is super impressive when you leave approaching and you arrive at the shore of the lake where you see pieces of ice floating in the water, an amazing experience. I have seen hundreds of photos of beaches in Iceland, and skies! I think there is not much difference between these two landscapes.
El famoso Hielo Milenario
The famous Millennium Ice
This ice is hundreds of years old, I imagine everything that has happened during its life until reaching the shore of the lake, where some survive and others become part of the melting water cycle, it is very beautiful to see them but it makes us reflect on how global warming affects more and more since these are glacial detachments.
English
Trozos de hielo sobre el agua flotando y llegando a la orilla del lago
Pieces of ice on the water floating and reaching the shore of the lake
For me this is something very shocking since I come from the Caribbean, so beach and ice was not a very common combination on my walks, but the truth is something that should be appreciated, it is beautiful and disturbing.
Paisajes que te dejan sin aliento!
Landscapes that leave you breathless!
Miradores con vistas increíbles
Lookouts with incredible views
Hosteria Pehoe
Salto Grande
Torres del Paine
Más miradores y Guanacos
Los Guanacos son animales tipicos de esta zona, suelen ser presas de depredadores como el Puma, muy parecidos a las Yamas.
More viewpoints and Guanacos
Guanacos are typical animals of this area, they are usually prey to predators such as the Puma, very similar to the Yamas.
Mas y mas nieve
Let it snowww!
Thanks for reading, I hope you liked my post, the truth was incredible to have the opportunity to get to know this place so far south on planet earth, I never thought I would love it so much, it was a dream come true to be able to touch the snow for the first time at At this level, I think we should take the time to get to know the places where we are, since we do not know how long we will be in certain places, for example, I managed to live in Venezuela for 27 years and I think there were few places that I did not know, due to logistics or money, but I firmly believe that it is necessary to make these trips, to get to know the country where you are since it immerses you in culture and you also have the opportunity to live these experiences where you will see unique and unrepeatable places. Cheers!
