Hello my friends from #gems, a pleasure to be in the community again, this time I tried to make a craft with plastic bottles, an excellent idea to give better use to all those bottles that We always have them at home, and this time I wanted to make a gandola with these bottles 😀😁😀😁 I confess that I had a hard time making them since the bottles have their peculiar shape of a straight cylinder but with curves and these curves are very difficult to mold into a desired pattern, but little by little I managed to make this winning, I hope you like my work, and then I show you the materials to use and the step by step to make it.

I started by taking the easiest bottle to mold, it is a chlorine one which has a stronger plastic than soda bottles, cut out the part of the center of the bottle that does not have any curved shape I opened and tried to remove its cylinder shape until I obtained a plastic sheet, then I began to draw the part of the cabin of the gandola here I had to take 2 molds for both sides of the cabin, as shown in the following image

Then I began to cut out the patterns or molds, and took a piece of cardboard to be able to remove the base from the booth since with parts of the bottle it would be unstable. Then take the cutout booth molds and glue them to the side of the base as in the image below.

Luego comencé a recortar los patrones o moldes, y tome un pedazo de cartón para poder sacarle la base a la cabina ya que con partes de la botella quedaría inestable. Luego tome los moldes de la cabina recortado y los pegue a los lado de la base como en la imagen siguiente.

Then I started to make the accessories, such as the rear part of the cabin where the driver sleeps while resting, the exhausts, the hood, the fenders, the wheels, mud guard, the chassis which I had to Make it out of cardboard for the same reason that the shapes of the bottles are curved and it was difficult to get a rectangle out of a curved part 😀 and it also gives it more rigidity.

Luego comencé a realizar los accesorios, como la parte trasera de la cabina donde duermen el chófer mientras descansa, los escapes, el capo las defensas las ruedas, guarda fango, el chasis el cual tuve que hacerlo de cartón por la misma razón que las formas de las botellas son curvas y era difícil sacar un rectángulo de una parte curva 😀 y además le da más rigidez.

It should be noted that all cuts and molds are made freehand. I imagined the piece and drew or cut it all at once, that is why I do not show them measurements. After having almost everything cut out, I started gluing, I started with the chassis and finished assembling the cabin.

Cabe destacar que todos los cortes y moldes los realice a pulso me imaginaba la pieza y la dibujaba o la recortaba de una vez es por ello que no les muestro medidas. Luego de haber casi todo recortado comencé a pegar, empecé por el chasis y a terminar de armar la cabina.

Then I had to make the trailer of the gandola, this trailer took a lot of work to do since from the beginning it was going to be oval taking advantage of the curves of the bottles but I didn't like it very much so I cut 4 bottles For the center part and I made a cube for each one and I joined them, they came out crooked or uneven until finally I half managed to get it to the point that it looked almost straight.

Luego me tocó hacer el remolque de la gandola, este remolque me llevo trabajo hacerlo ya que desde el principio iba ser ovalado aprovechando las curvas de las botellas pero no me gustó mucho así que recorte 4 botellas por la parte de centro y les hice un cubo a cada una y las uni, me salían torcidas o disparejas hasta que por fin logro medio llevarla al punto que se viera casi derecho.

Then I started to make the gas tank, which I made a small cylinder and covered it with a Pirulin paper that I ate 😁😁😁 and gave it a chrome finish, with that I also gave the same role a chrome finish to the grill of the truck and the fenders or the crash pad.And then I made the trailer hitch that I did with a layman that my son had forgotten and coincidentally both legos turned each other and it was ideal for the trailer moved.

Luego empecé a realizar el tanque de la gasolina, el cual hice un cilindro pequeño y lo cubro con un papel de Pirulin que me comí 😁😁😁 y le dio un acabado como cromado, con ese mismo papel también le di un acabado cromado a la parrilla del camión y las defensa o el para choques Y después realice el enganche del remolque que lo hice con un lego que mi hijo tenía olvidado y casualmente ambos legos giraban entre sí y era ideal para que el remolque se moviera.

Well friend with almost everything ready we only have to paint, in which only 6 coats of cold paint were in the truck in the cabin since painting the plastic of a bottle does not cover the first time and You have to give several hands to cover it, and after so many paintings, a little stress 😁😀 a lot of Silicon and many cuts and ideas this is the result of almost two days of work my first and new truck to collect 😁, here I present you my craft with plastic bottles.

Bueno amigo con casi todo listo solo nos toca pintar, en cual solo en camión en la cabina fueron 6 manos de pintura al frío ya que pintar el plástico de una botella no cubre a la primera y hay que dar varias manitos para que cubra, y después de tantas pinturas, un poquito de estrés 😁😀 mucho Silicon y muchos recortes e ideas este es el resultado de casi dos días de trabajo mi primer y nuevo camión para coleccionar 😁, aquí les presento mi manualidad con botellas de plástico.
