It was last June 7, 2025, was the graduation day of my cousin and my cousin’s girlfriend. They live in Minglanilla, tho Minglanilla is far from Liloan if we commuted, but since we will ride through my cousin’s motorcycle, it would just take more or less than an hour for us to arrive there if there is no traffic at all.
My cousin and I left first because we will still have to go to the flower shop where we reserved a flower bouquet for my cousin’s girlfriend. We left around 8 am and went to the flower shop When we got there, the owner told us that they don’t have pink rose anymore, and we ordered a pink rose for the bouquet. I was quite irritated because we already told them that we will pick up the flower by 9 am and they reason out that they tried to message us. I was on do-not-disturb mode that day too, so I have a fault too, but when I checked what time they message us, it 8:53 already so, they were still late to notify us. Luckily, we went there quite early so they still had time to change the color of rose. They ask us what color we like, and I chose the white one. They told us to give them 10 minutes to prepare the flower bouquet. So, while waiting for them to finish the bouquet, we went trolling around to look for the other flower shop there and admire there works. It was around 9:18 when they finished the flower bouquet, so they didn’t really finish it on time, but still we were happy that it turns out well. We put the flower bouquet in the u-box to secure it and went our way to the Minglanilla.
It was quite traffic when we left so we had to take the short cut and not drive in the highway. Even though we took the shortcut, there were still a traffic, so got stuck for a few minutes before we got to bridge. It was around 11 am when we arrived at Minglanilla. My cousin and I planned to go straight to the nearest mall since he still need to change his clothes, but it didn’t go to plan, and we ended up going straight to the gym where the graduation ceremony will be held. Upon entering the school, the guards stopped us because we need to pay for a parking fee. We were looking for a space to park and unfortunately, the only space we found was the farthest one from the gym. When we parked the motorcycle, my cousin then changes his clothes in there, while I retouched my make up. After that, we went to find his girlfriend in the crowd. The event hasn’t started yet when we arrived, and luckily, we found his girlfriend. His girlfriend handed us two ribbons for each of us because those ribbons will serve us a gate pass for us to enter the gym.
The event has started, and the graduates has started entering the venue one by one. After them, it was our turn to enter the gym. It was quite hard to enter since there were a lot of people who keep on pushing us because they didn’t really open the door widely, but still we got to enter the gym and look for the family of my cousin’s girlfriend and sat with them. The event started and they were calling the students who have awards first. While they are awarding students, my cousin and I went outside first to buy some water because we’re thirsty and hungry. After buying the water, we went inside and ate our meal there. It was around 3 pm when my father called us and asked us to go to my aunt’s house first to take eat first and take our lunch there since we ate our breakfast around 12 noon already.
We went to my aunt’s house and ate there; we went again to the gym because it was raining hard. I went to the bathroom first because I need to change my top as I got wet and there was a small stain too. When I went inside, I was amazed by their bathroom because it has two rooms. The first room is for retouch and hand wash; the second room is for the cubicles and a large mirror at the center. Their cubicle is very ergonomically designed too because inside the cubicle, there is a wooden chair where you can put your things and can sit too, which is quite funny HAHAHAHA. After changing my clothes, we went inside the gym again.
When went inside, they were about to sing their graduation song already. After singing their graduation song, they then proceed to take a photo opportunity together with their respective dean and other instructors. They started with the Bachelor of Education major in English, Math, and Filipino. Then, the Bachelor of Criminology. After, was the Bachelor of Hospitality Management and Bachelor of Tourism Management. Lastly, was the Bachelor of Information Technology. When they finished their photo op, they then sang their school hym and then announce that they are graduate already.
It was around 5 pm already when their graduation ceremony ended. They close the ceremony by walk out the colors. After that, the graduates went back inside to take pictures with their loved ones. As for us, we also went down to take a picture. First, we took photos of my cousin’s girlfriend alone, then my cousin her girlfriend next. After was my cousin’s girlfriend together with her family and lastly was me together with my cousin and his girlfriend. After taking some pictures, I saw my cousin too and took a picture with him together. I congratulated him and told him that I will be in their house later.
After the ceremony, it was still raining so my cousin drove me to my cousin’s house. I stayed there for a couple of hours and ate my dinner because they also prepare a feast. It was 10 pm when my cousin went there to fetch me for us to go home because I didn’t want to sleep there and my family decided to have a sleepover there. It was 10:28 when we left and drove home. It was 11:15 pm when we arrived home too. I message my mom and told her that I arrived home safely.
