HI! ANNYEONG! KONNICHIWA HIVERS! It’s 
So last June 27, 2025, I went for a hotel hunting together with my cousin and my friends. I ask my cousin to come and drive me to the hotels that I’m planning to do my internship. My friends and I planned to find hotels in Mandaue only so that it won’t be too far in our places. We decided to go first in Maayo Hotel and be there by 10 am. So, me and my cousin left at 9:30 am, before we went to Maayo Hotel, we first went to his previous school in high school. We stopped by for a few minutes to get some documents that he needed for his immigration to Canada and then left.
It was around 10 am when we left from his previous school. While driving on the way to Maayo Hotel, I was kind a nervous because some of my classmates are has already found a hotel to spend their internship, while I’m still looking for a hotel. We arrived around 10:25 am in Maayo Hotel, before going inside the premises, I message my friends first that I’m already in Maayo Hotel since they are still in their way. I went inside the hotel and the guard instructed me to go in the basement and that I will find an employee entrance written in the basement and go inside and I will find another guard there.
I followed his instruction and went to the basement. I looked for the employee entrance and when I saw it, I went there and saw another guard. I inquired if the hotel still accepts interns and sadly the guard told me that the hotel no longer accepts interns as they only limit the interns that they accept. After that, I message my friends and told them about the situation and what the guard told me. They were still on the way because it was so traffic at that time already, so I told them that I will go first to the second hotel. I went outside and told my cousin what happened then we went to Dohera Hotel, which is just near the Maayo Hotel.
When we arrive at Dohera Hote, the breeze of wind was really nice. It was a hot sunny day that time and I just love the part that it was kind of windy in the hotel. I went to the guard and ask if the hotel still accepts interns, the guard guided me inside the premises, and I ask for the front desk regrading the internship and she told me to wait outside as she will ask for it first. I went outside and waited only for a minute when their HR manager came to me and ask question like which school I came from, did I bring my endorsement letter and other stuff. I answered him and told him that I didn’t bring the endorsement letter yet. After that, he them gave me their car and instructed me to email the endorsement and my resume. After our talk, I message my friend again and told them what the HR manager told me, they said that my cousin and I then went to Pacific mall to eat our lunch there.
On our way to the mall, my cousin stopped by on a store that is selling clothes and other stuffs for motorcycles. He bought a black mask and after that we wet to the mall. When we arrive at the mall, I saw my friends and we talk for a few minutes. I then excuse myself because I was with my cousin and we are really hungry, so I bid my goodbyes and then went inside the Mang Inasal to take our lunch. After eating our lunch, my cousin then went to the second floor to look for a stuff toy that is almost a human size to give to his girlfriend. I helped him look for a nice stuff toy but unfortunately, there was no stuff toy that is almost a human size. So, we decided to try in SM Lacion and look in there.
We went to SM Lacion and went straight to the parking area. We first went inside the Miniso but he didn’t like the stuff toy there because the designs are very common. After that, we went to the second floor and went inside the SM Store. We asked some sales lady in there because we are not sure where the stuff toys are located. When we were in the stuff toy area, they have human size, but it wasn’t stuff toys, but human size pillows. After that, we went to go to the nearest bathroom because he needed to take a pee, and I need to retouch too. It was that time when one of my friends told me that they went to Dohera Hotel to try passing their resume in personal and that the HR manager instructed them to wait outside just like mine, but their resume was already with the HR manager.
After a few minutes, my friend then told me that I should go back in Dohera because they are going for an interview already, which made me shock, because it was different on how the HR manager instructed me. I felt kind of pressured that time and doesn’t know how to feel or should I go back and try passing my resume in personal or just follow what the HR manager instructed me. I told my cousin about the situation, and he ask me if I want to go back or not? I asked him if it is okay to him if we go back? He said yes, and then we went to Dohera again.
On our way to Dohera, I was kind of nervous because I might be too late and won’t be able to get interviewed just like them. It was around 2:17 pm when we arrive at the hotel. When I arrived at the hotel, I told the guard what happened, and I was looking for my friends to while talking to the guard. Their bags where on the outside and the guard told me that my friends already went inside. I waited for them in the outside and while waiting for them, my mind was still shock and confused why they get to be interviewed instantly and why the HR manager has different instructions. I taught to myself that it’s kind of unfair on my part and I was literally about to cry at that moment. My hands were shaking from nervousness and sadness too.
After a few minutes, I saw my friends coming outside and I ask them what happened in their interview. We didn’t get to talk clearly as they were also confused if they already pass the interview because some instructions and confusing. I saw the HR manager and went to him and told him the situation and he said that the reason why he just instructed me to email the endorsement letter and my resume because I arrived too early and I was just alone that time too. I was dumb founded on what he just told me. Mind you I arrived on their hotel around 11 am already and I taught that I was late that time. And hearing his reason, made me angry because it was really unfair in my part and it was kind of unprofessional too. I asked him if should I just follow his instruction or what? Because I was sure that I won’t get interviewed that day. He asked for my resume and told me that he will just text me in my number. After that, I went to my cousin and told him what happened. He also taught that it was kind of unfair and unprofessional because the way they instruct us are not straight to the point. On our way home, I cried my feelings out because I was really overwhelmed of what just happened. I was envious, mad, and frustrated at the same time. So, I really burst into tears when we went home. Thankfully my cousin was there to comfort me and listened to my rants.
