En esta oportunidad les contaré acerca de mi experiencia personal dentro del área de cardiología, al momento de cursar el último semestre de enfermería debemos de rotar por diferentes servicios, dentro del área hospitalaria existen diversos servicios y entre ellos me tocó realizar guardias en el área de cardiología.
In this opportunity I will tell you about my personal experience within the area of cardiology, at the time of studying the last nursing semester we must rotate through different services, within the hospital area there are various services and among them I had to carry out guards in the area of cardiology.
Al ser un área que veía por primera vez, se me dificultó mucho poder entender ciertos términos médicos... Esto sucede ya que en el servicio de cardiología un término médico puede escribirse de igual manera pero no significa lo mismo en otros servicios, como medicina interna por ejemplo.
Being an area that I was seeing for the first time, it was very difficult for me to understand certain medical terms ... This happens since in the cardiology service a medical term can be written in the same way but it does not mean the same in other services, such as medicine internal for example.
Al momento de llegar por primera vez al servicio fui recibida con mucha gratitud por parte de las enfermeras titulares, me dieron una pequeña orientación acerca de su organización y de como se conformaba cardiología, además de siempre ser muy amables y buenas tutoras al momento de tener cualquier duda como pasante de enfermería.
When I arrived at the service for the first time, I was received with great gratitude by the regular nurses, they gave me a little orientation about their organization and how cardiology was formed, in addition to always being very kind and good tutors at the time of having any questions as a nursing intern.

Gracias a cardiología pude reforzar gran parte de mi conocimiento con lo que respecta a la parte farmacológica, en este servicio se suele administrar de forma común medicamentos orales, por lo que gracias a esto pude aprender de varios medicamentos que no conocía.
Los medicamentos que puedes apreciar en la fotografía tienen sus respectivos nombres, colocan las pastillas en diferentes recipientes, además de colocar sus nombres también escriben su cantidad de gramos. Los que se suelen administrar con más frecuencia son el atenolol, nifedipino, la atorvastatine y digoxina.
Thanks to cardiology I was able to reinforce much of my knowledge with regard to the pharmacological part, in this service oral medications are usually administered in a common way, so thanks to this I was able to learn about various medications that I did not know.
The medications that you can see in the photograph have their respective names, they place the pills in different containers, in addition to placing their names, they also write their number of grams. Those most commonly administered are atenolol, nifedipine, atorvastatin, and digoxin.
En muchas ocasiones me tocó realizar guardias de 18 y 24 horas corridas dentro del servicio, por esto mismo algunos pacientes se alegraban al verme por el trato que les daba al momento de atenderlos, además de recibir alguna que otra merienda por parte de ellos, a su vez también me gustaba tomarme alguna que otra fotografía al momento de cenar jaja.
On many occasions I had to carry out 18 and 24-hour guards within the service, for this very reason some patients were happy to see me because of the treatment I gave them at the time of attending them, in addition to receiving the occasional snack from them, at in turn I also liked to take the odd photograph at dinner haha.
Cardiología es un servicio que requiere de mucho estudio, dedicación, atención y compromiso... Requiere conocimiento estricto en las patologías cardíacas, por lo que no es apta para cualquier profesional de salud si no tiene su respectivo título de especialización dentro del área.
Cardiology is a service that requires a lot of study, dedication, attention and commitment ... It requires strict knowledge in cardiac pathologies, so it is not suitable for any health professional if they do not have their respective specialization degree within the area.
Gracias a cardiología logré conectar de forma social con muchas titulares del servicio las cuales me prestaron parte de su conocimiento, aprendí muchas enfermedades referentes al corazón y como éstas pueden afectar a todo el organismo, además de eso también aprendí de términos médicos que son especiales para el servicio de cardiología.
Thanks to cardiology, I was able to connect socially with many heads of the service who lent me part of their knowledge, I learned many diseases related to the heart and how they can affect the whole organism, in addition to that I also learned medical terms that are special for the cardiology service.
