Hello friends,
We finally finished this diamond painting with my daughter. It was her birthday present. There is another one waiting for us. I’m not sure if I want to start it any time soon. It took us almost a month, and I was helping my daughter a lot with it.
It’s a great a thing to get busy with bit you need to make sure you have an extra desk spot that can be taken for a month, and that no one will mix or loose the bids.
The pros are this set helps to calm down and concentrate. It’s kind of meditative activity. It’s not a good fit for hyperactive people in my opinion but of course I’m not a specialist in that area. From our experience I can tell that my daughter who is usually patient enough with puzzles, and coloring and pages, lost her interest in a few days with this set. She was doing it with me to help me out:-)
With my older kid it was even harder. He tried for five minutes and lost his interest almost immediately. So I guess depends on personality, this painting activity might (not) work.
I think, for me personally it would be easier to have smaller set. Because it’s not possible to finish the work in one sitting, or even one weekend. The tray with the bids might get lost or relocated by any of family members, unless you have your own room, with your own desk. Since I live in a apartment the space is always an issue here.
I think when I get retired, and if I’ll have my own room, I might try this activity more seriously.
Let me know in the comments if you ever tried diamond painting and if you liked it or not.
