Hi everyone, on this occasion, I share about photos of corn cultivation for animal feed. I took these photos on land that is cultivated by several village farmers.
Corn plant is known as one of the plants in the grass family classified as whole grains. Corn is very well known by the people of Indonesia because this type of plant has great benefits both for staples as a substitute for rice and various processed foods such as animal feed.
Corn is currently in high demand, from chicken farmers to the animal feed industry throughout Indonesia. This plant is indeed one of the main ingredients of chicken feed that is used throughout the world, so many farmers like to cultivate this plant because of the increasing market demand.
So, this is why some people who are members of the farming community in Gunci Village, Sawang, North Aceh Regency, choose to cultivate corn feed in the fields belonging to the local village.
In the cultivation one hectare of corn commodity, for them don't need to spend a lot of capital because for labor costs are not needed, but those who amount to ten people from community members work together. While the cultivation land got permission to use it from their village government.
So, during the cultivation of this corn crop, the capital spent was as much as three million rupiah for the purchase of seeds, fertilizers, pesticides and equipment for farming.
In addition, planting corn is very easy to do because it only takes 100 days from planting seeds to harvesting.
The varieties used in this planting are local varieties, usually these varieties are often constrained due to pests and diseases. So, for them the variety is not a big problem, but they assume it all depends on the climate, soil fertility, good care, fertilizing, maintaining and eradicating pests and diseases.
Here are some examples of photos of corn plants that are attacked by leaf diseases, while pests are only weeds.
Apart from plants that are attacked by diseases, I also show examples of photographs of corn that thrive during growth
