¿Quién es Carlos Cruz-Diez?
Para muchos al escuchar este nombre, se preguntaran, ¿Quien es Carlos Cruz-Diez? Solemos admirar mucho el arte en la actualidad, mas comúnmente, viendo películas y escuchando musica, admirando a aquellos actores y cantantes como artistas, sin embargo muchas veces damos mérito a quienes no lo merecen, personas que hacen de la música y el cine, algo un poco distinto al arte, yo considero arte a aquello que incluye el sentimiento en ello, y ese sentimiento es transmitido en imágenes que lo transmiten, en la materia y el sonido, que con solamente escuchar, ver o analizar puedes llegar al fondo de ese sentimiento.
Carlos Cruz-Diez fue un gran si no el mejor Artista del Arte Cinético en el mundo, con sus innumerables obras logró demostrar que el color es una realidad que vemos a diario, que no requiere soporte, sus estudios estuvieron dedicados a generar sentimientos a través del color, Durante una entrevista realizada por el periodista Rafael Álvarez- Bermúdez, Cruz-Diez aseguró que el color está presente continuamente, produce un placer que se aprende a leer, siempre y cuando se aprenda a leer el espacio.
“El color invade el espacio y es didáctico. Todas estas obras que ves no son cuadros, son soportes de una reflexión. Eso genera placer, rechazo y otros sentimientos humanos”, dijo el artista durante la entrevista.

Carlos Cruz-Diez was a great if not the best Kinetic Art Artist in the world, with his countless works he managed to demonstrate that color is a reality that we see daily, that does not require support, his studies were dedicated to generate feelings through color, During an interview conducted by the journalist Rafael Álvarez-Bermúdez, Cruz-Diez assured that color is continuously present, it produces a pleasure that you learn to read, as long as you learn to read space.

Tuve la oportunidad de ver de cerca el arte de este gran personaje, como muchas de sus obras esto forma parte de un legado, sin duda alguna estas majestuosas obras te pueden hacer sentir de una manera distinta, sus colores pueden más allá de solamente ver algo que es un admirable trabajo, si no de transmitirte en sentimiento solamente con mirarlos, en lo personal, puedo percibir en ellos trabajo duro, alegría y una gran pasión por el arte.
Me siento muy orgullosa de saber que en mi país nació un artista tan grande como lo fue Cruz-Diez y pudo representar Venezuela como la cuna del mayor artista del Arte Cinético
I had the opportunity to see the art of this great character up close, like many of his works this is part of a legacy, without a doubt these majestic works can make you feel in a different way, their colors can go beyond just seeing something which is an admirable work, if not to transmit you in feeling just by looking at them, personally, I can perceive in them hard work, joy and a great passion for art.
I am very proud to know that an artist as great as Cruz-Diez was born in my country and was able to represent Venezuela as the cradle of the best artist in kinetic art.
El 27 de julio de 2019, Cruz-Diez falleció a los 95 años de edad en París. Su legado como uno de los grandes maestros del cinetismo sigue llenando de color las calles, inspirando a las personas que perciben en sus obras el talento de un artista venezolano que recorrió el mundo sin olvidar su amor por su natal Venezuela.
On July 27, 2019, Cruz-Diez passed away at the age of 95 in Paris. His legacy as one of the great masters of kinetic art continues to fill the streets with color, inspiring people who perceive in his works the talent of a Venezuelan artist who traveled the world without forgetting his love for his native Venezuela.
Sus obras dejaron de ser obras para convertirse en monumentos, donde se que en un futuro podremos apreciar en muchos más museos de los que ya existen con sus obras.
Esto para mi es un verdadero artista y debemos aprender a apreciarlo.
Espero que podamos apreciar a los verdaderos artistas como ellos lo merecen.
