Let's be honest, as "former" Steemians, we have had a lot of stuff thrown our way lately. First it was the purchase of Steemit Inc., then it was the hostile takeover of the witnesses. After that, Hive was born and we were suddenly dealing with a change over that a lot of us thought would take much longer to accomplish.
On top of all that, we were hit with the Covid-19 virus and the subsequent havoc it has caused to the financial markets and the pursuit of gainful employment by a large portion of the world.
I am lucky enough to be considered an essential employee and though I am not going to my office every day, I have been working from home. I personally find it infinitely harder to work from home than when I am sitting in my office. There are far fewer distractions like the dog barking or needing to go out.
My wife works in the same district as me, but she isn't sitting across the table from me probing me for input on the work that she is also trying to get done from home. It is these and a million other little things that all add up to make working from home not very conducive for me.
I actually feel busier at home than I do when I am in my office at work. I am glad that I get to be home and safe with my wife. I wouldn't trade that for anything in the world.
It has been very hard for me to split my time between all of these things and Hive. On top of that, I am finding a hard time locating a home for the majority of my Hive posts. I have been posting in the #ocd community and using the #posh tag for quite some time now.
On top of that, I have posted in the #powerhousecreatives community in the past and I more recently started posting in the #gems community. I have been struggling to find a balance between posting my content in a community that will make it most visible while still offering me a decent upvote for my time and the quality of my posts. The rewards are at least a portion of why we are all here after all right?
What about you folks? Have you been able to find the perfect home for your content? How many times did you have to post to a specific community before you started getting some love from them? If I am wasting my time, I would much rather place my content where it will be appreciated and stop clogging up a specific communities feed.
Like I said that the beginning, we have had a lot thrown at us. These have been some tough waters to navigate, but if we work together, we can make it through. I look forward to hearing your input!
