In Moon Karts™, your performance on the track isn’t just about reflexes or knowing the shortcuts—it’s about how well your kart is built, customized, and upgraded. The “Karts & Parts” system shapes every race by defining Speed, Acceleration, Handling, and Health through modular components. If you want to gain an edge, understanding this system is crucial.
Available Karts: From Starter to Specialty
Primary Kart – Astro Kart: This is your solid starting point. It offers balanced stats (top speed ~70%, handling ~80%, health ~85%, acceleration ~75%) suited for beginners. It’s common and accessible from the start, but still open to upgrades.
Astral Karts has 2 variants:
- LunocityX focuses on higher speed (≈80%) and strong acceleration (~80%), trading off some handling.
- Quasar Sport leans more durable, with better handling and health—great for tracks with more contact or tighter turns.
Lunar Karts (2 variants):
- Nebula Guard excels in speed and acceleration (≈90% accel, ~90% speed), as well as keeping strong handling and health. It rewards skilled driving.
- Arachno Eclipse trades a bit of top-end speed for supreme control, health, and handling—excellent for long, technical courses.
Tech Cards (Parts): Customizing the Machine
To push your kart’s performance, Moon Karts™ offers Tech Cards, which represent internal parts you can equip and upgrade. These are grouped into categories:
- Engine Upgrades – From common to legendary. Higher tiers increase top speed significantly but may introduce side effects (e.g. legendary engine increases speed by ~25% while slightly hurting handling).
- Tires Upgrades – Improve handling and turn radius. At epic or legendary levels you might sacrifice a bit of speed when maximizing grip.
- Body Kit Upgrades – Boost health/durability. Legendary armor plating gives large health gains, at some cost to acceleration.
- Gearbox / Gear Upgrades – Affect acceleration. For example, legendary turbocharger significantly improves acceleration, with minor trade-offs in handling.
Beyond the big components, accessories let you finesse your build. Antennas, wheels, exhausts etc., offer small but meaningful boosts depending on rarity. For example:
- Common accessories give +1% in relevant stat (handling, speed, or accel)
- Rare and epic versions increase those boosts (≈+2-3%), while legendary ones can grant +4% improvements.
One of the most impressive strengths in Moon Karts™ is how it balances performance customization with competitive integrity. Accessories and part upgrades give players room to personalize their builds and adapt to their driving style—but none offer overwhelming, game-breaking advantages. Subtle trade-offs (e.g. a bit less handling, or slower acceleration) exist at higher tiers. This ensures that races reward both thoughtful setup and on-track execution.
