Hello my friends of Hive, My name is Carolina Cardoza and today I come to make my post of introduction to this great community. It is not mandatory to do so, but if you can introduce yourself so that newcomers can get to know you, it looks good and it is polite to make yourself known to them. A lot of people already know me because we come from the other side, Steemit
I got started in the world of Blockchance more than two years ago thanks to a friend who invited me, to him @Ndnthor I will be eternally grateful for opening the way to this immense world of intellectual exchange. I started like many others out of curiosity! And I stayed like many, out of LOVE!
That's right friends, I fell in love with all this, writing, inventing, creating, being active, meeting people, laughing, dreaming and endless reasons that made me make the right decision, ¡to stay!
I am a country girl, born and raised in a town in Táchira State, Venezuela. They say that the people there are cordial, kind, cheerful, respectful, I don't say it, all those tourists or visitors who have made their way through those Andean lands say it. So if one day you have the opportunity to travel, don't miss the chance to get to know my beautiful state.
I am the daughter of farming parents, where they plant tomatoes, sugar cane, paprika and everything else you can think of, it is definitely a land blessed by God. We are very close to the border with Colombia, towards the north of Santander, we can go whenever we want to Cúcuta, where we can do our shopping. This has been very beneficial for us Tachirenses in the midst of this crisis that my country has experienced.
In Táchira you can walk through the fields, breathe fresh air, milk the cows and drink milk fresh from the cow, see beautiful landscapes and best of all, eat delicious dishes such as roast chicken, Andean cakes and chicha, rice pudding and for the cold I recommend a mistelita or a miche doble (liquor produced from sugar cane). Every year I go and have fun with my brothers, nephews and friends. If I tell them the truth, one day I would like to live there again.
But returning to my reality, for 26 years I have been living in Guatire, a beautiful town in the state of Miranda, Venezuela. Here we are very close to the capital and it is where the biggest source of employment in the country is, it is where the public authorities and the big companies are concentrated. Unfortunately, this has changed a lot and Venezuela has fallen into the hands of those who should not have and has been completely destroyed. It can be said that the productive apparatus practically does not exist and those who still survive are in precarious conditions.
I am a dream weaver
Since I retired from the company where I worked in 2012, I headed towards the world of handicrafts; since I was very young I loved to create things and that is why I spent a lot of time taking courses, workshops, went to talks and thus I created an image that would eventually become my micro company.
Carolina's workshop is her name, it's my brand, I've been selling to recognized stores in malls and that's what I wanted from the beginning, that my work be recognized for its quality. My clientele is very special, not everyone likes embroidery or handmade fabrics, some prefer the industrial.
Carolina's workshop has helped me for a long time, generating good income, but!! there is always a but, my workshop did not escape the reality of the country, sales fell exorbitantly, people only had a head for making long lines and buying food. Thank God this year the economy has improved a bit in Venezuela since we were the ones who decided to take the dollar and the Colombian peso as the currencies that govern our operations.
When I started in this, I didn't even know the O in the round! I only had the taste for it, I saw it in the shops or in pictures on the internet and I fell in love with it, so I'm living proof that if you want something and you put all your heart into getting it, you can!
Embroiderer, seamstress, recycler, cook, mother, friend, sister.
I started knitting thanks to a grandmother who lived next door to my apartment, then my sister taught me how to embroider, from both things I learned the basics and it was then that I saw and understood that I could and that this was the path I should take now that I was retired. As I told you before, I prepared myself very well and with the money that I was given in my job and the collaboration of my husband, I bought sewing machines, wools, knitting needles of all sizes, fabrics and in this way I grew and sold my merchandise in many places and to many people.
I'm a nature lover.
I've always liked to travel, see places, go to different places to discover beautiful things. Since 2005 I started a series of trips that took me to many states in my country, that was always my idea to know first my country and then go to know the others, until now I had almost half, always during the year we saved to go in December to tour Venezuela, but for now that is paralyzed, I hope one day to resume those plans. For now I am only satisfied with knowing the parks, rivers, creeks, beaches of Caracas and the state of Miranda.
Definitely I have been a faithful believer that God put more love to my country than to others, we have beach, rivers and mountains, if we want cold and snow we go to Merida and if we want desert we go to the Medanos de Coro, The jungle is a paradise like no other and God put in these lands of the Gran Sabana the highest waterfall in the world "El Salto Angel" as I can stop knowing my country. Venezuela is a land of magic, beautiful and warm people, I invite you to know it first before going anywhere else.
"Hive, my new home"
Since I arrived in Hive, less than a month ago, I felt at home, I'm not going to talk badly about Steemit because that house is not to blame for what the owner does, but now we are here on this other side and so far I have done very well. I keep creating, working hard every day to keep growing. I like to invent a lot, thank God I have my family who already know very well what I'm working on and they have the patience and the desire to help me.
Here I have seen people with a lot of desire to work, I do not see selfishness or envy, we are all immersed in the daily work that gives no chance to think about anything else.
We all know that we are not only here to publish our content, we also want to be rewarded and Hive is on that subject too. Every day there is something new to write about, something new to participate in, so there is no chance for boredom either.
I would like to see again in this new beginning many people who have left, either because whaleshares, bears, weku failed or because they were disappointed with what happened in Steemit; cheer up, many are creators of excellent content and have much to give in this platform. Hive has open arms for everyone.
Thank you for the opportunity to allow us to introduce ourselves again and what a beautiful way here at Hive.
