I have always heard the phrase that "baby stuff is the most beautiful thing there is" and now that I see these shoes it causes me a huge sweetness, since I made them I have not stopped seeing them. I never thought that with just two little pieces of fabric these sweet shoes would come out.
Maybe they are not shoes from the most expensive store in Caracas or from the latest collection of Principitos, but many times simplicity is where you get comfort, tranquility, happiness.
The same happens in life, when we put our hearts together, for the good, the beautiful, beautiful things come out.
Step 1.
To make these shoes we can use any kind of fabric, but it is better to use felt, sheepskin or any other that gives more shape to the shoe.
We cut out the patterns according to the size you need. In this case they are for a baby of 3 to 6 months.
Step 2
- We are going to make a festoon stitch on the straight part of the fabric or pattern, use a thread color that stands out. (observe it well in the image)
Step 3.
We look for half of that long strip and we are accommodating it from the back of the sole to the front, look well in the image, you will see that in the front one crosses to a side and in the other shoe is inverse.
Fix it with pins or just to the sole with thread and needle, when you are sure that it is well settled you start to make the festoon point all over the sole.
Step 4.
- We're just finishing up, as you can see there's nothing complicated so far. In this step I have marked with a red thread where I made the stitches to place a piece of elastic tape; this will make the shoe not to open so much.
The decoration is to your liking, I made these mini flowers with tinted embroidery tape; but you can put woven flowers, colored buttons or just leave it looking beautiful too. You can also do it for men, it's the same procedure, just with darker colors.
Today I want to thank you infinitely for all your support, you have really helped me a lot with that and in spite of the adversities we are going through, I am happy working on what I like. Doing these things is my hobby, my passion, my life, in each craft I leave all my passion, I try to be beautiful, neat and so I can reach each of your hearts. See you in a next "Made with Love".
