Today I read about my fellow dialysis patients in a facebook group complaining about their restless legs syndrome. I had it before but now I am not experiencing it anymore. So after reading it I just told them outright to use Gabapentin because after one dose it will cure them in minutes.
I also told them about taking it because I am just taking it once after dialysis as it works in a very extended period of time maybe because of a dialysis patient's failed urinary system the drug just circulates in the system.
It is very good though because it makes it economical for us who needs it and will save us money especially for those that do not have much spare funds to buy another crucial medicine for an ailment that most doctors and renal nurses to identify to the detriment of the patient.

I feel that the dialysis patients joining such groups now have a upper hand about their condition because when I was just starting dialysis there was nothing like it. Now the patients can get some advice and information where to get medical and financial assistance and other relevant information about their illness.
But I am glad that at least I can give some info and advice too based on my long-term experience as a dialysis patient and it will I believe will alleviate the lives of some with similar experience so that they can also alleviate what ails them to give them a better life as a dialysis patients.
Dialysis patients now are fortunate to use our government health insurance because there was nothing like that when I was just starting or maybe I am not aware how it works. I had seen a lot of patients die from lack of funds to use so they stopped going for dialysis. So even though I was not using a health insurance I was able to survive until I finally had the opportunity to use it and it was a great help and support for my survival because without it there is no way that I can or most dialysis patients would survive.
