Naval piercing ✅
I’ve got to hand it to , she’s not afraid of needles. Whether it be getting tattoos or piercings, if she wants it she goes for it. I commend her for doing what she wants no matter the cost in the form of pain, the ouch is only temporary after all.
Over the weekend made an appointment at a local tattoo shop to get her naval pierced. It was set for 4pm and I drove her there promptly at that time. She went in by herself and I sat in the car and listened to this playlist while I had the heat blasting in my Audi. I had just about finished the playlist when she walked out looking like she was in some pain, but also very excited to show off her new jewelry.
It took only 20-30 minutes for her to have a needle jabbed through her belly button and a cute little jewel slid through the new found puncture wound. The piercer took some time to capture a photo and discuss proper care, then was out the door. Afterwards we met my parents for a great dinner date at Olive Garden.
I’m very happy with how her new piercing turned out and so is she. I can’t wait for it to fully heal so that she can put some fancy new jewelry in there. I’m sure she’s excited to be able to customize the look instead of having to stick with what the artist chose to put in there.
Right after it was finished was extremely sore for the next 24hrs. She said it hurt to just bend over, I wouldn’t wish that kind of pain on anybody. She did choose to have it done herself though, so she knew it may be bad. Luckily the pain began to cease more each day after the piercing had been finished. I think it will be several weeks before it’s 100% normal, but eventually it’ll just be like it’s always been there.
