This is probably the most popular trail at New River Gorge. Mostly because it is relatively easy to reach the gorgeous view at Diamond Point.

This was the first time Hive account@flowerbaby and I were able to hike this trail together. What a great time it was! It also gave us a chance to break in our new Colombia hiking boots.

As you can see from the photos, the trail goes along the rim of a giant gorge through which the New River flows. It is very high up and will make your tummy feel all sorts of weird whenever you look down. I don’t consider myself afraid of heights, but even I get queasy looking over the edge.
