Happy Valentine’s Day
Today and I celebrated our first V-Day with one another. Yesterday we went on a triple date, but today was for just her and I.
I woke up early and left for the store to get a few last minute things. When I walked out the door, was still asleep. Once I got back home she was awake and we exchanged a few gifts. That was followed by a light breakfast and some sweet treats. We had ourselves a relaxing afternoon where she made some jewelry while I played some video games.
Eventually it was time for us both to get ready and drive down together to a new restaurant in Huntington that neither one of us had ever been to before.
Read on to see more details of each part of our special day together.
Gifts For
I know my girl is big on cards, so that was the first thing I picked out for her. I found the best one that seemed perfect for her. I also got her a cute “Luv Bug” necklace that she had shown me online a few weeks prior. The grocery store had glittery roses and I knew those were the ones for her as soon as I saw them, the same goes for the teddy bear that is covered in shiny hearts. I purchased the last box of Ferraro Rochers, has never tried those chocolates before. She enjoyed them, but wasn’t as big of a fan of the hazelnut chocolates as I was.
Gifts For
got me a really awesome card and left me a very sweet note, she’s always so thoughtful. She made me a custom alien boob pot to store various things in. I freaking love it, the nipples look so real! Quite possibly my favorite thing were some new silk pajamas, they are covered in golden dragons. She knows me so well. Another gift I received was a yummy farm apple pumpkin candle. Also I guess now I am going to be matching her new necklace with the two bracelets that she made me, they are my favorite colors. The last two items are a custom cyberpunk-style canvas and a framed gaming poster with my PSN ID on it “Thr3EyeMindGames”. These will match perfectly with all of the other things on my gaming wall behind the chair that I play in.
Peace Love & Little Donuts
After I finished at the grocery store this morning, I walked next door to this little donut shop. I got us a dozen donuts to share, the flavors I picked were:
- Birthday Cake
- Magically Delicious
- Blueberry Lemon
- Oreo
- S’mores
- Valentine’s Sprinkles
- Chocolate with Heart
- PB&J
- Cookie Dough
- Banana
- Cinnamon Sugar (2)
Photos in the Snow
We were an hour early getting down to Huntington for our dinner reservations this evening. So instead of just sitting around waiting, we went to Ritter Park to take some photos together. It was freezing cold outside and there was still snow on the ground. With that came some icy paths along the way to get to the area we were going to pose together at. I think these turned out lovely, the combination of a snowy environment and two beautiful people in love made for some fantastic results.
Dinner at Le Bistro
Our 5:15 dinner reservations were at a fancy French Restaurant across from Pullman Square in Huntington. Neither one of us had been there before and didn’t know where we were going until we got there.
The outside of the place was super cute and they even had a giant rose wall next to the entrance. The inside of Le Bistro was a whole type of mood. There were paintings all over the walls, many of which I’m sure cost a pretty penny. Much like the food and plethora of extra Valentine’s Day options.
We started with a salad called Champagne Pear, it was really yummy. Of course the portions were a bit too small, but that’s to be expected at a fancy place like this. Next we both ordered an entree. had the Cajun Chicken Pasta and I got the Shrimp and Grits. Both of us were extremely satisfied with the flavor of our dishes. It was some of the best food either of us have had in quite awhile. Mine again was a bit too small in portion, but
didn’t even finish hers. I fried a few bites of her dish and then we were done.
When the waiter brought us our bill I waited until after he left to check the total. He had mistakenly brought us another table’s, the total was over 5x as much as we were expecting to spend. and I both started laughing out loud at just how expensive it was for other people who opted into all of the bonus options.
One of the things that I’m most thankful about is that and I both are easily satisfied. We don’t require the most pricey things just to be happy mentally. It’s a blessing knowing that as long as I put forth the effort to show her love, she will love me right back just the same.
After dinner, we walked across the street to Cold Stone Creamery for some ice cream. had cake batter and cotton candy. I ordered sweet cream with Oreos and brownies. I was sad the didn’t have my childhood favorite cinnamon ice cream, but the sweet cream was yummy too.
Thanks for checking out my blog 😎🤝
All in all, this was the best Valentine’s Day ever. I love so much!
