On our way to paddleboard and swim at Sutton Lake, Hive account@flowerbaby and I spotted the famous Flatwoods Monster. It wasn’t until after we left the lake that we actually stopped at this giant chair to take some photos.

If you have never heard of the Flatwoods Monster, then I suggest you do a search online and see what you find. It is one of #WestVirginia’s most popular urban legends, along with many others such as the Mothman.

Many of these monsters, including this one even made it into Bethesda‘s Fallout 76 #videogame. I used to love Fallout, but never actually played 76 myself. These days I would rather spend my time exploring my home state, rather than playing a reimagination of it through a repetitive RPG video game. Not that I don’t still enjoy games like that occasionally, this one kind of flopped hard.

Getting a photo at this famed spot was something I didn’t plan to do, but I sure am happy that Hive account@flowerbaby and I decided to take the time to do it together.
