Se trata de un regalo para mi mamá, que me pidió el logotipo para su marca personal, ya que esta semana creará su página web y esto, por supuesto que es parte fundamental.
Mi mamá es artista. Pinta mayormente al óleo. Desde siempre fue muy creativa y el arte le apasionaba muchísimo. De ella saqué mi vane artística y ella a su vez lo sacó de mi abuelo. Sin embargo siempre estuvo en el mundo de los negocios y solo fue hace muy poco que se lo tomó en serio.
Seguro se preguntarán cuándo viene a HIVE. La he invitado miles de veces, pero tampoco me gusta presionar. Ella no es rápida para decidir en cosas que no entiende; así que si llega su momento, será cuando esté lista. Le he hablado de los NFT y le llama la ateción la idea; por supuesto más que publicar un blog; pero igual se toma su tiempo.
La semana pasada me pidió su logotipo como regalo del día de las madres y hoy se lo entregué. Quedó súper contenta...

Desde que mi mamá me pidió el logotipo tuve clara la idea. Primera vez que me pasa, podrías ser por conocerla tanto, pero incluso para mis logotipos he boceteado bastante a mano.
En esta ocación solo busqué una tipografía que se pareciera a su letra, tan característica en su firma. La encontré muy rápido y coloqué las tres iniciales de: Mari Hernández Art.
Solo con observar por unos instantes las letras, supe cómo las integraría.

This time I just looked for a typeface that looked like her handwriting, so characteristic in her signature. I found it very quickly and placed the three initials of: Mari Hernández Art.

Luego adapté la H para que calzara perfectamente con la M. Reduje un poco la línea horizontal que crea la A porque estaba muy larga. Quería hacerle una punta como de trazo de pincel, pero decidí dejarla más simple. Solo le cambié el tono de gris en la punta para diferenciar la A.

Para darle mayor fuerza al isotipo, le hice un campo ovalado, permitiendo que parte de la M lo corte y la parte superior sobre salga. El color turquesa es el que más le gusta e identifica a mi mamá.
To give more strength to the isotype, I made an oval field, allowing part of the M to cut it and the upper part to come out. The turquoise color is the one my mom likes and identifies the most.

La primera tipografía que probé para el nombre fue una sans serif redondeada. No me convenció. Parecía que cortaba con todo lo que expresaba el isotipo.
The first typeface I tried for the name was a rounded sans serif. I was not convinced. It seemed to cut with everything the isotype expressed.
Por fin llegué al resultado final. Con una tipografía caligráfica y muy parecida a la usada en el isotipo. Apoyada con un fondo de trazo de pincel en el mismo turqueza del isotipo. Dando una sensación artística perfecta. Espero que les haya gustado; el cliente quedó satisfecho y feliz 😆
