Yesterday, on the way to another city in Turkey, we had an unpleasant incident. While driving calmly along the highway at 150 km per hour, a dog suddenly ran out onto the road. We were so surprised that we couldn't brake, and before we could reach the other side of the road, it was hit by the edge of our car. It was terrible, and scary, because it's so sad when innocent animals lose their lives due to a lack of understanding of the danger. Until the last second, it stood on the edge of the road, and when we got close enough, it rushed to cross the road. Driving after this incident, we were shocked, and before stopping, we drove another two kilometers. We stopped at the nearest gas station. It was very difficult to get out and see what happened, because we didn't know if we had run it over, and where it was now. With fear, we got out to see what was happening there. And when we got out, we were even more shocked. The front half of our car was missing. The left side of the car near the wheel was torn off from the strong impact. I honestly don't know what else was damaged by this impact. Having tied up the wires that were hanging after this impact, we headed back to Antalya. Later we remembered that we had a recording of the road, and realized that we would have to watch it to find out what happened. After a quick search for the recording, we finally found it. In the video, the dog starts running and is thrown away from our left corner of the car. We still didn't understand what happened, so we watched the rear camera recording. It was a great relief, but still not strong enough. In the video, the dog doesn't get hit by the wheels, but flies away in the air from a strong impact on the grass behind the road. And parts of our bumper fly onto the road. I hope that a miracle happened and the dog survived and only got a strong impact, but all our friends say that the chances are low 😞😢.

Our car suffered no less misfortune. The total cost of repairs is 198,000 lira and $5,700. The headlight was damaged, the metal around the damage was bent, the windshield washer fluid container was torn, and some wires were also damaged. We still don't know where to get that kind of money and we would be grateful if there were 1,000 friends in Hive who would donate $5-10 each to fix the car. 🙏🙏🙏
