Here's a little last minute Christmas appreciation before we enter the week of preparing for the new year to come, and I just gotta say how I love how this pixel art by Hive account@carminasalazarte is based on an actual cake! And very creatively shaped into a mug of hot cocoa! ⌖ⅽ[ː̠̈ː̠̈ː̠̈] ͌⌖ Seeing how she shared the process of making this art, it's definitely not as easy as the color-by-numbers apps we usually encounter. (^^;)
Sharing another holiday decor that seems to be perfect for welcoming the new year with a dose of prosperity! ☆=(*ω･)/ Though in hindsight, this treasure well made by Hive account@oscarcede would be perfect for all year round, I personally thought it to be perfect as a holder of 'lucky coins' that we usually display right before the clock strikes midnight on the eve of the 31st. It's our take on a local tradition-- when you throw coins around the house, prosperity will come to your household-- but since I ain't got time to pick them up after, we just about display them. (⌒_⌒;
And during seasons like this, it's not just our homes that are decked out in decorations as shared by Hive account@titisnariyah on how her local shopping center was displayed in not just garlands and baubles, but also some of these unique sculptures presented by their local artist! I think it's a cultural good move to highlight and suppport these forms of art in a lot more publicly accessible places as traditional museums mostly seem to have yet to reopen in some areas right?
Speaking of sculptures and decors that brighten up the atmosphere during this holiday season, let's not forget the very ones that bring entertainment and have the most real fun in wrecking havoc to the Christmas tree and fairylights-- our pets! So imagine being Hive account@theking24 and having 6 lovely cats (●U●)/●ﻌ● Personally have six indoor cats ourselves and let me tell you how their "zoomie" times topple a looot of stuff, so really it's a good thing we don't decorate that much during this season anymore. (˘▼˘> ԅ( ˘⌣ƪ)
So as parting words before we hear from each other again next year 2022, and as posted by Hive account@shiftrox, let's take this moment inbetween the ever changing times to somehow reflect on the year that will pass and the year that is to come. I will quote this from a Maroon 5 song, "Toast to the ones here today, toast to the ones that we lost on the way." because we've come this far and I hope we find the strength in ourselves o get through these rough times one way or another. ⊂( ´・ω・｀⊂)
