Let's talk about DBuzz programs!
Hello, beautiful people of DBuzz.
What does community mean?
There is no one answer to this question, as everyone's view of community will be different. For some, community might simply mean a group of people who live in close proximity to one another. For others, it might mean a group of people with shared interests or values.
Whatever your definition of community, it is likely that it plays an important role in your life. A strong sense of community can offer a sense of belongingness, support, and companionship. It can provide a network of people to rely on in times of need. It can also be a source of fun and social activities.
We like to believe that DBuzz is a community for everyone. We see our role not only as the developers of DBuzz, but also to help supply the inertia that will encourage the community to grow on its own.
We supply this 'inertia' with community games, rewards, highlights, and more. Today, let's talk about some of these and how you can partake in them. :)
Contests
Contests are a great way to unite people and create a sense of community. You can encourage people to interact and work together by offering competitions and prizes. This can help build relationships and foster a sense of belongingness.
Every Monday, we host a Monday Mission. Each week's theme is different, mostly focusing on current events, a holiday, or a silly challenge. The reward is 10 HIVE sent to the winner.
On Fridays, our guest blogger hosts a photo mission focused on each letter of the alphabet! It's interesting to see what people take photos of. This is open to anyone - just grab your camera phone and take some photos. The winner will get 10 HIVE!
Community Highlights
We believe in giving praise where praise is due, and one way we do that is with our various community highlight rewards. This is a way for us to say thank you to members of our community.
Every Wednesday (once a week), we have the "Badge of Pawesomeness Picks". This initiative is about finding interesting articles from around Hive, rounding them up, and posting about them on our page. The idea is that we can help build additional awareness for posts outside DBuzz and provide you with some good content to read.
On Thursdays, we have our "Comunity Highlight" post. This is the post where we find one member of our DBuzz community and help them get a bit more exposure. Also, we add them as a 50% beneficiary to that post to help them earn a little extra reward. To be highlighted, you just need to post often, provide quality photos and captions, and, while not necessary, win BDuzz challenge contests as well. :)
Throughout the week, we also look for buzzes that stand out from our community. We send those authors an on-the-spot HIVE tip and a roundup post with all those buzzes on Saturday. The idea here is to bring more awareness to buzzes and help authors get more exposure.
In Summary
Community is important to foster and grow!
We belong to many different communities - our families, neighborhoods, online blogs, and places of work. Each community is special and has its own character.
We strengthen our communities by coming together and working to support each other. We all have a role to play in fostering a sense of community. Whether volunteering, joining contests, or simply being a good neighbor, every little bit helps. When we work together to make our communities better places to live, we all benefit.
