Today, I'll be showing some #bouldersunday photos from the Gunpowder Falls - Notchcliff Road area in Baltimore County, Maryland.
This is the area right near the intersection of Harford Road and Notchcliff Road. Parking is limited here but we went on a weekday and early in the morning.
When the trees don't have their leaves you can see the road more. I love looking out over the water when we drive by this area.
Of course, when the trees are bare you can also see many boulders and rocks on the hills that you wouldn't see otherwise.
Seeing some up close is nice too. I love this mossy rock tucked in under this tree root...
...and this boulder with a really cool design from some type of vegetation possibly.
Which came first? The tree or the rock? My guess would be I the rock! Lots of moss in this area so I had to be extra careful. It rained the night before which made things more slippery.
As soon as I saw this formation I wondered what could be living underneath.
Spied these on the other side of the bridge.
The water was a little higher from the rain and you can see some boulders beneath the surface of the water.
There were a few trees and big branches in the water that came down with some of the heavy winds we had the last couple of months.
My last photo and only one edit today! 😉
Thank you for #bouldersunday!!
