Hi All! Below are some photos that I took on my walk at the Little Gunpowder Trail To Bottom Road in Baltimore County, Maryland.
It was my very first time on this particular trail and I was not disappointed! The trail path started out narrow but opened up into some much larger areas.
Most of this part of the trail had views of the water.
This is the tributary that we came to and it is where we (or should say I) decided to turn around and head back. We (husband and I) did return the following week and did cross it. I won't tell you about the other side but will show you in upcoming posts!
There were so many flowers along the trail that I'll be doing a separate post on them along with some birds that I photographed. I believe these are Multiflora Rose They may also be known as Japanese Rose, Seven-sisters Rose, Baby Rose and Rambler Rose. Rambler Rose always reminds me of the song "Ramblin Rose". Best versions (in my opinion) by the great Nat King Cole and Charley Pride. Brings back heartwarming memories of listening to old records on the turntable with my mom and siblings. My dad was usually at work although he enjoyed the old songs too. Anyway...I digress! The Multiflora Rose does have a lovely scent but is also listed as an invasive species.
In case you're interested and since there is a share link on yt then, hopefully, it's okay to leave this here!
Back to my walk! Most of the water along this trail was fairly calm and clear. As with most rivers though, it can change quickly with weather conditions.
I only have two more photos for you and this next one is a different view of the tree in my first photo of this post.
Just up ahead is the bridge that we parked by and brings me to the "wish me luck" part of this post. You see, I'm posting early because if the weather permits then I'll be going on a little mission today. If I'm successful then it will the first phase in my mission. I don't want to say anything more than that for now but wish me luck and I'll let you know in my next post if I was successful in the first phase on my mission! Thanks so much! 💖
Thank you for #wednesdaywalk!!
