Hey All! Today, I'll be showing some photos in sepia that I took at the Fisherman's Park by the Conowingo Dam in Harford County, Maryland. These are photos that I took in 2018 and I was happy to see this large beautiful wooden eagle sculpture sitting in front of a lovely garden with part of the Conowingo Dam in the background.
There is a lookout area with benches and placards. It's a great spot,as is almost any spot there, to see a Bald Eagle or Great Blue Heron.
There is also a placard that has information about the Conowingo Dam. Which, by the way, there is a terrific view of the Conowingo Dam from the lookout area as well.
The water on this visit was pretty high and there were several flood gates open on the Dam. There is a walkway below the lookout also but the water was so high that part of it was closed off by the high waters.
The water was so high that you would probably need a life ring to get to the life ring!
I was standing with my hand on the rail enjoying the view when my son pointed out this huge grasshopper that was right by my hand. It was just sitting there! Maybe it was enjoying the view also..lol!
My last photo shows a couple fishing up closer to the trail area. I thought it fitting to show some fishing happening since it is Fisherman's Park after all! 😉
I also would like to clear something up. I started using the tag #conowingo on my Conowingo posts. That tag is specific to my posts and my state (unless you have a Conowingo too and are posting about it) but it is now being used by someone that copied my tags a few weeks back. Not Cool! That is all!
