So I've mentioned in several of my post that I really haven't had much time to myself, especially since everything that has been happening. All this mess started just as I was considering asking my job to cut me some slack.
Well it seems that my boss, felt my frustration and he gave me a second day off this week. Yet I didn't notice. So today I headed off to work in the same fashion as I have for the last year. Except this time when I arrived I was greeted with confusion.
That's when I realized that I had the day off. Oddly enough work was slow anyways. My coworkers had spent the day finding odd games to entertain themselves. This is a complete 180° from anything I've seen in a while.
The town that I work in is a beautiful small historic town, and the weather was perfect. So I decided to go roam the town and gather material for my future blogs. I discovered areas of the town I had never visited, and took some wonderful pictures. I even treated myself to a steak, and a few beers. The restaurants here were allowed to open, as long as the customers sit outside. Along with one particular stipulation, which I'm sure isn't constitutional. Yet I digress.
Along my adventures, I stumbled accross this small self-standing, self-service library.
The idea being that you can take a book or leave a book. There are several located all over this town. It started with one, and over time grew. I've even seen a few of them during this plandemic housing extra food. The idea being if someone wanted, they could take food home with them.
It's such a simple idea. I've even found myself swapping books at a few of them. It's kinda like a mystery treasure chest. You never know what little goodies you'll find in them. I've seen some with book marks, and small supplies. Overall I think it's a great community idea.
