I ATTENDED A NEW CHURCH TODAY — AN EVANGELICAL CHURCH.
Today was my first time taking communion this year. It was also my second time going physically to a church this year (last Sunday was the first). This is because for some reasons I have been mostly inclined to attending church online.
I liked the international setting of this new church and the sense of warm fellowship I observed among members – young and old. I had wonderful discussions with some members and someone is already working on pairing me with a family for Christmas dinner after I had said I was cool with the idea, in response to a question on that. Christmas is about to be 🔥. Is God not wonderful?
I spotted one fine person today but I intentionally didn't talk with the fellow make e no be like say na wetin I come the church come do and attract unnecessary 'enmity' for myself 🙂. I am a good guy and I know that when I enter a new environment, I should observe and ask relevant questions if needs be😜. After all, onye ajuju adighi efu Uzo (someone who asks questions does not miss their direction) . But next time I go, if I see the fellow again and I will introduce myself. No harm in meeting new fine fellas.
As for the Pastor, he was quite welcoming. He mentioned that there are many pastors in Nigeria and asked if I was a pentecostal to which I replied yes. Surprisingly, he mentioned that he is aware that Northern Nigeria has quite some problems. I didn't probe further on that but I think he was referring to issues with security and criminals who aren't tolerant of religious views of others.
Interestingly but unexpectedly, there was cake and coffee after church. I even heard that they usually serve lunch after church there 😄. So suffice it to say I have found a new church 😛.
How's your Sunday going?
