Late 2020 to early 2021 was a year of great loss for me. Lost my grandmother and my aunty who died due to illness. Losing my uncle, my another grandmother and grandfather was died due to Covid-19 and several siblings had to be treated and undergo isolation because they were confirmed positive for Covid-19. Several other relatives were affected by floods in this rainy season and had to evacuate. Losing home and valuable assets.
Maybe this is not just a story of loss that only I experience, but in other parts of the world everyone has their own sad story. And a series of sad stories in life that come and go, make me rethink my life. At first everything felt something burdensome to my mind, but I tried to believe that everything that happened was God's will, and as a servant I could only be patient and sincere to accept His provisions.
Setting the direction of life
The trap of the past that created itself. Everyone lives their destiny in their respective lives. Living the present life as a consequence of past lives, a continuous straight line, which won't go out into the other direction.
Continuously lamenting sadness, regret for a decision / choice in life in the past, delaying something that should have been done in the past. Until all that is left is only regret and the sentence if ... "If I didn't know him, if I didn't have a relationship with him, of course my life would be fine, and other assumptions."
Remember, everything happened. There's no point in regretting something that's been missed. What exists now is to accept that it is common for every human being to make mistakes in his life. Instill in the soul that "Our life does not depend on big moments that happen randomly." Every turning point in an incident is a positive thing to start a new life, upgrade abilities, when bad things happen there are lessons learned to move better.
The arrow that comes out of his bow is not the direction of the straight line of our lives that cannot be changed. There are many branch lines that we can take, when one of the lines bumps us into disasters, trials or bad things that happen. Every second in our life is an opportunity, we define our future life by every action we take now, not just by a single moment in the past.
Life Goes On
Everyone has a turning point in their life, but not many know what a turning point is and what their momentum looks like. One person's events are a turning point for someone else. Being a gift of life that makes him self-aware, creates a tremendous energy in him to be a turning point for change.
The turning point in life is not only an important moment that changes us in silence, without any effort to lead to this change, everything will only remain a story and we will return to being trapped in a prison that we created ourselves. Get up and find a solution to get out of all the problems that occur. Try, work hard and pray that change is not just a wish. Our life is today, we don't know what will happen in the next day and we will never return to the previous day.[]
