It's summer, a season packed with planting of crops and harvesting. Early March, we had planted maize in a very big land and currently it's season for harvesting maize that are now seen to be dried.
Recently, we started harvesting the maize we planted early March. The harvest started since last week and up till today we have been doing the harvest.
It's a big field mixed with maize and soyabeans but we had harvested just the maize which is mature and ripe for reaping.
The weather was hot,beating our skin while on the farm. We are accustomed to hot weather during harvest and it seems to have favoured the day,giving us more opportunity to cultivate a larger part of the land.
Uploaded are pictures of the work I did today on the farm, harvesting the dry maize. We were both plugging the maize off the stake and peeling the dry leaves immediately.it was hectic though it save future stress.
