Hoy quería platicarles acerca de la dificultad para encontrar repuestos de ciertas motocicletas en nuestro país (Venezuela), como todos sabemos afortunadamente mantener este vehículo resulta algo bastante ahorrativo, repararla y comprar repuestos es muchísimo más barato que lo que podría costar en el caso de los autos. Todo esto es bueno si tenemos una moto comercial como pueden ser por ejemplo cualquier modelo de "Empire Keeway".

¿Qué pasa?, como ya todos sabemos aquí no se producen estas motocicletas, pero las Empire si son ensambladas aquí, ¿esto en que influye?, pues la verdad es que sigo sin entender nada, pero esto es lo que responden casi todos los vendedores de repuestos de motocicletas cuando buscas algún repuesto de una marca menos conocida como es por ejemplo el caso de las Loncin, las cuales por cierto estéticamente me parecen una belleza.

La mayoría de personas con estas marcas poco conocidas se ven en la necesidad de hacer "remiendos" como les digo yo, que consiste en adaptarle piezas de una motocicleta que no son originales para ellas pero que pueden funcionar aunque en algunos casos esto solo trae consecuencias y perdidas al pasar el tiempo, de hecho para intentar arreglarla mi vecino compro unos anillos de una motico automatica que al final no funcionaron.

¿Cual es la alternativa?, como todo en los ultimos años debemos ir y conseguir los repuestos en Cúcuta, pero justo ahora tenemos un pequeño problemita llamado COVID-19, o bueno, para ser especifico es la frontera que se encuentra cerrada y resulta una odisea para una persona común realizar compras en el vecino país. Claro, como pasa siempre hay canales irregulares por los cuales se puede circular hasta allí pagando, pero este es un riesgo que no me gustaria tomar y claro, pasa igual con mi vecino quien ya tiene más de 60 años.

Al final se tomo la decisión de contactar a alguna persona que pase regularmente por las "trochas" y haga la compra ganando una comisión, que es un negocio bastante común en nuestra ciudad, la gente se ha reinventado de una manera increible en estos tiempos díficiles, esta puede que sea la forma más costosa de lograr arrancar de nuevo la motocicleta pero lo importante es encontrar el repuesto adecuado para que dure años sin volver a molestar.
In the end the decision was made to contact someone who regularly passes through the "trochas" and make the purchase earning a commission, which is a fairly common business in our city, people have reinvented themselves in an incredible way in these difficult times, this may be the most expensive way to get the motorcycle started again but the important thing is to find the right part to last for years without bothering again.
