Una de las experiencias que más disfruto de caminar es admirando las diferentes expresiones artísticas en mi ciudad. He visitado muchas ciudades, sin embargo Maracay parece ser la Meca de la expresión artística, do quiera puedes encontrar arte urbano, esculturas, espacios artísticos, es increíble, hoy descubrí un lugar nuevo en el centro de la ciudad pero no hay acceso a menos que canceles un ticket para entrar, desde afuera promete un espectáculo visual.

Hello everyone!
One of the things I enjoy most about walking is admiring the different forms of artistic expression in my city. I’ve visited many cities, but Maracay seems to be the Mecca of artistic expression; wherever you look, you can find street art, sculptures and art spaces – it’s incredible. Today I discovered a new place in the city centre, but you can’t get in unless you buy a ticket; from the outside, it looks like it’s going to be a real visual treat.

Los mosaicos en mi ciudad son muy comunes, me encantan porque llegan a ser obras de arte que duran a través del tiempo.
Estas piezas artísticas se encuentran en la avenida principal de Las Delicias, que en otras oportunidades producto de mis largas caminatas he compartido otros tipos de expresión artísticas de la zona.

Mosaics are very common in my city; I love them because they become works of art that stand the test of time.
These artistic pieces can be found on the main avenue in Las Delicias; on other occasions, during my long walks, I have shared other forms of artistic expression from the area.

Me flipa ver cómo organizan cada pieza de cerámica rota para crear una figura. Por ejemplo las orquídeas se nota un alto grado de complejidad, he tenido la oportunidad de ver ´como empiezan a crearlas, el tiempo que lleva hacerlas, el artista puede dejar mucha energía en cada obra de arte que hay que valorar y apreciar.
La altura de la puerta me ha llamado mucho la atención ¿Qué habrá del otro lado? es muy curioso.

I’m fascinated by how they arrange each piece of broken pottery to create a figure. Take the orchids, for example – you can really see the high level of complexity involved. I’ve had the chance to see how they start creating them and how long it takes to make them; the artist puts so much energy into every piece of art, which really deserves to be valued and appreciated.
The height of the door really caught my attention. I wonder what’s on the other side? It’s very intriguing.

La primera imagen es arte urbano geométrico, son unas guacamayas hermosas, pinturas que decoran los muros de un concurrido parque natural en el centro de la ciudad.
Los siguientes son grafitis en los murales de un taller mecánico cerca de donde vivo, al parecer a los dueños les encanta este tipo de arte y han decorado su fachada muy llamativa. Me encantan sus formas y colores vibrantes.

The first image is geometric street art; it features some beautiful macaws, painted on the walls of a busy nature park in the city centre.
The following are graffiti on the walls of a garage near where I live; apparently the owners love this kind of art and have decorated their façade in a very eye-catching way. I love the shapes and vibrant colours.
