Today I want to share with you a total repair and painting job that we did in my workplace about a year ago in this project our objective was to repair all the damages that the car had and to paint it completely
EL día de hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un trabajo de reparación y pintura total que hicimos en mi lugar de trabajo hace aproximadamente un año en este proyecto nuestro objetivo se centraba en reparar todas las afectaciones que tenía el automóvil y pintarlo completamente
Although its original color is lead, this time we have to take care of painting the car completely yellow and the reason is that it will be used to work as a taxi, that is, it will provide private transportation services and the country's government requires that all taxis must be yellow
Aunque su color original es plomo en esta ocasión nosotros nos tenemos que encargar de pintar el auto completamente de amarillo y la razón esporque va a ser utilizado para trabajar como un taxi es decir va a brindar servicios de transporte privado y el gobierno del pais exige que todos los taxi deben ser de color amarillo
For us it is a new challenge what we must accomplish within 3 days. The secret to achieving our objective is to follow a good planning that allows us to advance as much as possible every day
Para nosotros es un nuevo desafío lo que debemos lograr en 3 días. El secreto para lograr nuestro objetivo es seguir una buena planificación que nos permita avanzar lo más posible todos los días
To start this project, I must tell you that the car was originally lead-colored and what we did next was take apart some parts to make the painting job a little easier. By I mean the antenna, the rubber of the doors, rear-view mirrors, the rear lights, among other things. these are parts that can be easily disassembled and that make painting work a little easier since at the time of application they do not hinder us
Para comenzar este proyecto, debo decirles que el auto originalmente era de color plomo y que lo que hicimos a continuación fue separar algunas partes para facilitar un poco el trabajo de pintura. Me refiero a la antena, el caucho de las puertas, los espejos retrovisores, las luces traseras, entre otras cosas. Estas son piezas que se pueden desmontar fácilmente y que facilitan un poco el trabajo de pintura, ya que en el momento de la aplicación no nos obstaculizan
Of course, we have to correct some details that are present in the car. I mean some blows he had, but they were relatively small. So we took little time, in other words, on a work day and we already had the car completely corrected and sanded and washed to apply the new paint
Por supuesto, tenemos que corregir algunos detalles que están presentes en el automóvil. Me refiero a algunos golpes que tuvo, pero fueron relativamente pequeños. Así que tomamos poco tiempo, en otras palabras, en un día de trabajo y ya teníamos el auto completamente corregido, lijado y lavado para aplicar la pintura nueva
Also, we had little time left and I took the opportunity to start covering some of the important parts of the vehicle with paper
Además, nos quedaba poco tiempo y aproveché la oportunidad para comenzar a cubrir algunas de las partes importantes del vehículo con papel

Así terminó el primer día de trabajo para nuestro equipo
The next day in the morning we already have the car in the paint booth ready to start covering all the parts that we were not going to paint with paper. I mean the engine, the glass, the tires, among other things, this process takes us around 2 hours because it is very important to ensure that it is the best possible since the final paint finish depends on it
Al día siguiente en la mañana ya tenemos el auto en la cabina de pintura listo para comenzar a cubrir todas las partes que no íbamos a pintar con papel. Me refiero al motor, el vidrio, los neumáticos, entre otras cosas, este proceso nos lleva alrededor de 2 horas porque es muy importante garantizar que sea lo mejor posible ya que el acabado final de la pintura depende de ello
After this the time to start preparing the paint for the application. And the first thing we did was apply several layers of paint to completely cover the color, of course this process takes us an hour soon because the layers must be applied 1 at 1 in intervals of approximately 7 minutes this is done so that each layer goes drying naturally before applying the following
Luego de esto el momento de comenzar a preparar la pintura para la aplicación. Y lo primero que hicimos fue aplicar varias capas de pintura hasta cubrir el color completamente, por supuesto este proceso nos demora próximamente una hora porque las capas deben aplicarse de 1 en 1 en intervalos de aproximadamente 7 minutos esto se hace para que cada capa se vaya secando de manera natural antes de aplicar la siguiente
And after having applied 4 layers of color to the entire car, Now we can say that the color is completely covered. Do you know what's next now?
Y después de haber aplicado 4 capas de color a todo el automóvil, ahora podemos decir que el color está completamente cubierto. ¿Sabes qué sigue ahora?
This is the moment when applying a product called varnish, which gives the paint its shine. This product, just as the paint is liquid, is applied with the help of a paint gun and an air compressor. This same product also has a drying time which is 24 hours and only two coats are applied
Este es el momento cuando se aplica un producto llamado barniz, que le da brillo a la pintura. Este producto, al igual que la pintura es líquida, se aplica con la ayuda de una pistola de pintura y un compresor de aire. Este mismo producto también tiene un tiempo de secado de 24 horas y solo se aplican dos capas
With the application of this product we conclude the car painting process. Now we just have to wait until the next day for the car to be completely dry and we can start assembling all the parts that we had to disassemble at that time to facilitate the work process and to have more comfort when painting
Con la aplicación de este producto concluimos el proceso de pintura del automóvil. Ahora solo tenemos que esperar hasta el día siguiente para que el automóvil esté completamente seco y podamos comenzar a ensamblar todas las piezas que tuvimos que desmontar en ese momento para facilitar el proceso de trabajo y tener más comodidad al pintar

On the third day, what we had to do is remove all the paper that covered the car and then begin to assemble all the parts that we disassembled at first, I mean the door rubbers, the rear-view mirrors, the door upholstery, the taillights, antenna among other things
Al tercer día, lo que tuvimos que hacer es quitar todo el papel que cubría el automóvil y luego comenzar a ensamblar todas las partes que desmontamos al principio, me refiero a las gomas de las puertas, los espejos retrovisores, la tapicería de la puerta, el luces traseras, antena entre otras cosas
now look at what the car looks like with its color change completely finished and with the parts already assembled
ahora mira cómo se ve el automóvil con su cambio de color totalmente terminado y con las piezas ya armadas
there is no doubt that the yellow color tone makes it look incredible, now we can say that it is a car that is practically new
no hay duda alguna que ese tono de color amarillo lo hace lucir increíble, Ahora sí podemos decir que es un auto que está prácticamente nuevo
his change is quite radical and now he can already be part of a transport cooperative to provide private service
su cambio es bastante radical y ahora ya puede formar parte de una cooperativa de transporte para brindar servicio privado
Another project completed thanks to the work team, despite having a short deadline, we met the objective because we were able to save time in the processes that we already know from experience
Otro proyecto completado gracias al equipo de trabajo, a pesar de tener un plazo corto, cumplimos el objetivo porque pudimos ahorrar tiempo en los procesos que ya conocemos por experiencia
Now if this car is completely finished and the only thing we had to do as a final step was to completely wash it both inside and out to deliver it totally impeccable to its owners
ahora si este auto está completamente terminado y lo único que teníamos que hacer como un paso final fue lavarlo completamente tanto por dentro como por fuera para entregarlo totalmente impecable a sus propietarios
