Today I want to show you what I did to renew my phone's protective case

Hoy quiero mostrarles lo que hice para renovar la funda protectora de mi teléfono

For a long time I had the idea to do something to make it look better, because it was already worn by use. So I was finally able to carry out that idea

Durante mucho tiempo tuve la idea de hacer algo para que se viera mejor, porque ya estaba desgastado por el uso. Así que finalmente pude llevar a cabo esa idea

To start, I covered the inside of the protective case with adhesive, I did it so as not to damage it. Because what I want to fix is ​​the external part

Para comenzar, cubrí el interior de la funda protectora con adhesivo, lo hice para no dañarlo. Porque lo que quiero arreglar es la parte externa

This is the previous design that my protective case had, but as I already mentioned it was quite worn. So I started to sand it with sandpaper

Este es el diseño anterior que tenía mi funda protectora, pero como ya mencioné, estaba bastante desgastada. Entonces comencé a lijarlo con papel de lija

Little by little I was advancing with the sandpaper so that I was going to eliminate the previous design and at the same time it was going to serve to leave the surface rough

Poco a poco fui avanzando con el papel de lija para eliminar el diseño anterior y al mismo tiempo serviría para dejar la superficie rugosa

In this way I create adhesion for the materials that I am going to apply to that surface

De esta forma creo adherencia para los materiales que voy a aplicar a esa superficie

After a few minutes, finish sanding the exterior completely

Después de unos minutos, termine de lijar el exterior por completo

So now it was time to apply the primer, this product helps me seal the plastic from moisture and also serves as a base to apply the paint on the

Así que ahora era el momento de aplicar el primer, este producto me ayuda a sellar el plástico de la humedad y también sirve como base para aplicar la pintura en el

After a while it was already dry, so I removed the adhesive tape that I had previously placed because it was time to sand to smooth the surface

Después de un tiempo ya estaba seco, así que quité la cinta adhesiva que había colocado previamente porque era hora de lijar para alisar la superficie

Sand it with a fine sandpaper and very carefully

Lije con un papel de lija fino y con mucho cuidado

After sanding, I cleaned everything and left it completely dry

Después de lijar, limpié todo y lo dejé completamente seco

This is how it looks already sanded and totally clean

Así se ve ya lijado y totalmente limpio

It is time to put the adhesive tape back inside the protective cover to avoid staining what I am not going to paint

Es hora de volver a colocar la cinta adhesiva dentro de la cubierta protectora para evitar manchar lo que no voy a pintar

Then he looked for the paint that I am going to apply, in my case I chose this

Luego buscó la pintura que voy a aplicar, en mi caso elegí esta

So I started to paint the front part

Entonces comencé a pintar la parte delantera

I made it that way so that after it's dry I can flip it over and continue with the back

Lo hice de esa manera para que después de que esté seco pueda darle la vuelta y continuar con la parte posterior

So I applied 3 coats of paint to completely cover the color

Así que apliqué 3 capas de pintura para cubrir completamente el color

And there I left it for about 30 minutes to dry completely

Y allí lo dejé durante unos 30 minutos para que se seque por completo

After that time, I hung the protective cover on a nail that had a piece of furniture to start covering the back

Después de ese tiempo, colgué la cubierta protectora de un clavo que tenía un mueble para comenzar a cubrir la parte posterior

Little by little I was advancing

Poco a poco fui avanzando

Until I completely covered the color, in total I applied two layers of color to make sure I was well done

Hasta que cubrí completamente el color, en total apliqué dos capas de color para asegurarme de que estaba bien hecho

Then I waited a few minutes for the paint to dry completely

Luego esperé unos minutos para que la pintura se seque por completo

And now I apply a product called varnish, this product is the one that gives shine to the paint

Y ahora aplico un producto llamado barniz, este es el que da brillo a la pintura

It takes about 24 hours for the varnish to dry, so I left it flat to dry bette

El barniz tarda aproximadamente 24 horas en secarse, así que lo dejé plano para que se seque mejor

The next day I took advantage of the sun to finish curing the varnish by temperature

Al día siguiente aproveché el sol para terminar de curar el barniz por temperatura

I exposed it to the sun for 3 hours

Lo expuse al sol durante 3 horas

This is how it looks now completely dry, and when exposed to the sun reflects the pearls of the paint

now it is like a new one and the best thing is that it is unique
