Finally we are ending March today and will be ushering in a new month in some hours to come. Though the going have never being so easy since the start of the year until now. So many things have come by and gone, and new stuffs keep popping up each day. Like I said in my previous blogs, this month of march have been our greatest weakness of all time since it is the time the deadly corona virus tend to hit us hard that all major activities are on shut down.

Per the directives of the President of our country yesterday saw the first official lockdown of two major regions here in my country (the Greater Accra and the Ashanti Region) and a part of one other region (Central region). This lockdown because a total of the 141 cases been recorded, 54 of them happened to be people with no travelling records for ever since the covid-19 started last year.
And so to make sure the spread is being minimized there was the need to halt movement so all necessary traces could be done to single out any individual who have come into contact with these people. For the emergency of the situation I applaud the president on taking these stands to make sure we all stay safe.

The lockdown though have its own restrictions and freedom as well, sellers in some areas are allowed to trade throughout this two weeks of lockdown. Some food vendors are also free to sell but do not have to go beyond the time given by the government as a sign a curfew.
In as much as the government want to make sure all rules stated are being in placed, there are both the police and the military patrols around with some being on the ground to restrict movements. But like I always say humans are one generation that will find a way to break or burn the rules no matter the consequences.

Some people really moved around without having anything to do as in buying or selling as the directives went. Well most of these people were of the view that they just wanted to see how things were in town when they were caught on cameras. And in an interview with some of the various television stations and radios around, some said they had no choice than to lie that they were to get medications and other stuffs so they could be allowed to walk freely on the streets.
Many people also had to be sent back home since they were not good at lying like me. But I will humbly plead with them to stay home if they have no businesses to do as stated by the president. Some funny moments were when I saw people been punished for disobeying the rules, though none of these punishments involved direct pain in one way or the other. They came in the form of squatting, running from one end to the other and picking up very litters some people did around.
