Ya hace varios días y unos cuantos post atrás manifesté junto a Hive account@reymoya95 el deseo de incentivar y promover el pensamiento crítico y la filosofía acá en Hive. Pero deseo difundir la filosofía en otros lugares. Quizás parafraseando a Píndaro cuando dijo que su alma no pretendía ser inmortal, pero si intentaba agotar el mundo de lo posible.

De este modo me animé a comenzar con un proyecto que bautice “Acción Estoica”, pero como en filosofía no se deja nada al azar, le he colocado ese nombre con un propósito bien claro. Y deseo expresárselos el día de hoy.

“Acción Estoica” nace como un lugar o espacio en principio solo virtual, donde se pueda exponer corrientes filosóficas y las ideas que los filósofos han expuesto a lo largo de la historia, también todo tipo de pensamientos que promueva el pensamiento crítico. De tal modo, abrí una cuenta en Instagram, también en Twitter para comenzar con la tarea de difundir la filosofía.

Ahora bien

¿Por qué “acción estoica”?

Cuando decidí comenzar con esta empresa, no tenía muy claro el nombre. Comencé a leer e investigar, también comencé a ver algunas cuentas de filosofía en las redes sociales. El primer nombre que me vino a la mente fue “filosofía pop” tomando la idea de un autor francés llamado Deleuze. Pero ya existía algo así, y yo quería algo más original. Así que seguí reflexionando…

Llegue a pensar que mi proyecto pretende de algún modo bajar a la filosofía del pedestal abstracto en el que muchos le han puesto. Mi deseo es hacer más palpable la filosofía, hacerla practica. Y para ese momento venia leyendo sobre el estoicismo, y fue allí cuando pensé por qué no llamar a mi proyecto “Acción Estoica”. En primer lugar porque el estoicismo ha sido una corriente filosófica muy interesante, con propuestas bien marcadas y que además ha logrado trascender por más de 2000 años.
En segundo lugar porque además de promover el pensamiento crítico mediante el uso de la razón, el estoicismo es un planteamiento de mucha practicidad.

Y en tercer lugar, el estoicismo en sus orígenes fue influenciado por el pensamiento de Heráclito de Éfeso (uno de mis filósofos favoritos) y a lo largo de la historia el estoicismo ha influenciado a muchos pensadores relevantes en el devenir del pensar filosófico.

Apenas es un proyecto que está iniciando, pero que pretende ser un vehículo en el cual la filosofía pueda llegar cada vez a más personas y que pueda tener cierta utilidad práctica en la vida de estas. Como creían los antiguos, la filosofía es la cura del alma.

"Stoic Action" was born as a place or space that is, in principle, only virtual, where philosophical currents and the ideas that philosophers have expounded throughout history can be exposed, as well as all kinds of thoughts that promote critical thinking. Thus, I opened an account on Instagram, also on Twitter, to start with the task of spreading philosophy.

Why "stoic action"?

When I decided to start with this company, I was not very clear about the name. I started reading and researching, I also started seeing some philosophy accounts on social networks. The first name that came to mind was "pop philosophy" taking the idea from a French author named Deleuze. But something like that already existed, and I wanted something more original. So I kept thinking...

I came to think that my project is somehow trying to get down to the philosophy of the abstract pedestal on which many have placed it. My desire is to make the philosophy more palpable, to make it practical. And by that time I was reading about Stoicism, and that's when I thought why not call my project "Stoic Action". In the first place because Stoicism has been a very interesting philosophical current, with well marked proposals and that has also managed to transcend for more than 2000 years.
Secondly, because in addition to promoting critical thinking through the use of reason, stoicism is a very practical approach.

And thirdly, Stoicism in its origins was influenced by the thought of Heraclitus of Ephesus (one of my favorite philosophers) and throughout history Stoicism has influenced many relevant thinkers in the evolution of philosophical thought.

It is just a project that is beginning, but it intends to be a vehicle in which philosophy can reach more and more people and that can have some practical utility in their lives. As the ancients believed, philosophy is the cure of the soul.
