I was up and on the road a bit later than normal yesterday but still got to see the Steam Plant stacks lit up as I dropped off empty barrels. The beginnings of the river of a storm can be seen above.
I stopped at the other brewery and after consolidating the barrels into one and loading it into the truck I was on my way home.
With just the one barrel I dropped the trailer a soon as I got in the yard and then emptied the barrel out for the sheep.
It was a bit after 8:15 when we got in to soak and by 9:00 it had started to snow a little bit and as we sat it got heavier and the flakes got super big and fat. It snowed for for a while in waves and eventually the snow turned to rain as the warmer part of the storm moved in.
It rained for a good part of the day off and on and after we had eaten lunch we ended up back out for a soak.
Before and after dinner we played The Farming Game. While in Sandpoint we found an original version of the game from 1979 just like the one grew up playing. We also have a Russian version of the game made in 1994 and a newer US version from 1996. The game can be like Monopoly and go on forever. We played until dinner then afterwards until the boys had to get ready for bed.
It's a cool game as it was made here in Washington state and has a bunch of places down around Tri-Cities on the playing board. The boys enjoy playing it and it is a pretty easy game even for R to play.
With the boys in bed we went out for the night soak but only made it so long as we were both super tired.
This is the system plowing over us and drenching the area. The snow is melting nice and fast and we will hopefully get the bulk of it gone this week.
I found that my welder delivered yesterday and was at the gate so I brought it up to the house this morning, thankfully they put bags over it as it was in the rain all night. At 10 I have my zoom consult for the mandolin course, the boys have school, then tonight they have their longer wrestling practice which they only have 2 before their first tournament on Saturday.
