Yesterday we woke to it raining and it continued all day and all night. We did not get a ton by 7 am, only a tenth of an inch, but it was enough that the turkeys were soggy already shortly after letting them out for the day. It was only about 20 minutes later that a bunch of hens made their way to the house. I had noticed that their feeder was a little thin looking as I let them out but they must have thought it was totally empty so came to let me know. I went and got a couple buckets of feed in for them and the toms all got puffy strutting as the hens came back.
We headed out and thankfully the roads were not terrible. The highway was great everywhere with some of the smaller roads still icy. It took us an hour to get to Triple Play in Hayden and we were there not long after they opened.
The first hour plus was spent in the arcade where they have a Minecraft game the boys both love to play. They spent the bulk of their time on that game and now have a huge stack of cards that go with it. I plinked around a few games and played a bunch of skeeball games as it was the cheapest and more tactile than the video games.
After noon we went to go for lunch and the little Mexican restaurant was closed so we went to Capone's where we have eaten before. It was pretty busy so took a bit to get our food but it was delicious and we were all nicely full when we left. It was only a couple block drive back to Triple Play.
Then we went to the water park for a while. Raptor Reef has four water slides that drop next to the wave pool. J is big enough he can run them all by himself and he hit all of them numerous times each. I hit each of the slides at least twice and then spent a bit of time in the wave pool. Unfortunately the hot tub was out of order as the warm water would have been nice. But in the end I had to be done as my skin went to shit. I was SUPER thankful I brought my moisturizer for afterward.
We headed for home around 3:30 pm. We had gone up to see about maybe a round of bowling but there was a waiting list for it and by the time we would have been starting we were already at home and the boys were playing on their new Nintendo and were happy as pigs in mud.
After dinner I was flossing and managed to yank a filling out of one of my teeth which I am really not happy about. I hate dental work and am now getting to the point I HAVE to get some work done. Did I mention I hate dental work?
Holy crap, I just measured the rainfall from the past 24 hours and we have gotten 1.48 inches since 7 am yesterday morning and it is just going to keep raining today. I will go get shots of the creek and the super flow that it likely has going now.
So it will be raining all day today which puts the kibosh on most outside tasks.
