Mi inclinación hacia la música la herede de mi padre Jesús Olivares que era un gran cantante y guitarrista, y de mi madre la parte de cultura ya que siempre estuvo en ese ambiente desde muy chica. Hello friends from Hive, my name is Frank Olivares. Poco a poco fui incursionando en el mundo de la música hasta que me empezaron a gustar otros instrumentos armónicos como la guitarra que la empecé a tocar desde los 12 años. En lo que adquirí algo de conocimiento empecé a participar en agrupaciones musicales mayormente agrupaciones de salsa como Tibana Show, el Grupo Vera, los inquietos, grupo presagio entre otros. A la edad de 25 años comencé estudios de teoría y sorfeo en una sucursal de la Escuela Sinfónica Simón Bolívar en la Victoria, Estado Aragua. Además fui alumno del muy reconocido trombonista William Puchi en ese mismo tempo. Trabaje mucho tempo a nivel de tasca en la vida nocturna de Maracay y para mí fue una gran experiencia como músico porque la vida nocturna de Maracay era demasiado fuerte y a la vez te daba la oportunidad de conocer músico de todas la tallas a nivel musical y esta experiencia me sirvió de escuela a nivel musical. Aparte de la musca trabaje en una compañía que fabricaba rodillos transportadores y en ella me desempeñaba como fresador, allí dure aproximadamente dos años y eso no me alejaba de la música ya que en las noches me preparaba para trabajar en la música. Una de las experiencia que ha quedado para siempre en mi corazón fue una presentación en la muy reconocida Feria de San Jacinto en Maracay ya que allí se presentaban muchas orquestas profesionales como de la talla de Guaco, Oscar de león, Los Melódicos entre otros, mi presentación fue con la agrupación Tibana Show donde era el tecladista y gracias a la trayectoria que ya traíamos de nuestra vida nocturna donde éramos ya muy conocidos, realizamos una gran presentación por la cual recibimos elogios de muchos artistas conocidos que se presentaron junto a nosotros esa noche.

As I acquired some knowledge, I began to participate in musical groups, mainly salsa groups such as Tibana Show, Grupo Vera, los inquietos, grupo omen, among others. At the age of 25 I began studies of theory and sorfeo in a branch of the Simón Bolívar Symphonic School in La Victoria, Aragua State. I was also a student of the well-known trombonist William Puchi at the same time. I worked a lot of tempo at the tavern level in the nightlife of Maracay and for me it was a great experience as a musician because the nightlife of Maracay was too strong and at the same time it gave you the opportunity to meet a musician of all sizes at a musical level and this This experience served me as a school on a musical level. Apart from music, I worked in a company that manufactured conveyor rollers and in it I worked as a milling machine, there I lasted approximately two years and that did not take me away from music since at night I prepared to work on music. One of the experiences that has remained forever in my heart was a presentation at the well-known San Jacinto Fair in Maracay since many professional orchestras such as Guaco, Oscar de león, Los Melódicos among others, my presentation was with the Tibana Show group where he was the keyboardist and thanks to the trajectory that we already brought from our nightlife where we were already well known, we made a great presentation for which we received praise from many well-known artists who performed with us that night .
Con el pasar del tiempo y ya un poco cansado de los trasnochos y aprovechando una oportunidad de trabajo que se me presento en el estado Monagas decidí alejarme un poco de la música para trabajar en la industria petrolera ya que en aquel momento se ganaba muy buen dinero, sin embargo la música no pudo escapar de mi porque es algo que se lleva en la sangre.
As time went by and a little tired of late nights and taking advantage of a job opportunity that presented itself to me in Monagas, I decided to get away from music a bit to work in the oil industry since at that time I was earning very good money However, music could not escape me because it is something that is in the blood.
2da parte llegada a Monagas Al llegar a Monagas y establecerme un poco la ciudad sentir la necesidad de relacionarme para poder hacer los contactos a nivel de trabajo y me d cuenta que la música era para mí la mejor opción y busque mi guitarra y me fui a la plaza y me senté en un banquillo frente a la iglesia católica a tocar justo en ella se realizaba una misa y cuando esta termino se me acercaron tres personas José García (el popular pisguay), Larry vellorín y Giovanny Cabrera hoy reconocidos artistas de punta de mata, estado Monagas, pero en ese entonces yo no lo sabía; yo mi encontraba tocando una canción de Ilan Chester la cual tenía una ejecución un tanto difícil y ellos al notarme se detuvieron frente a mí también con instrumentos en mano y allí entablamos conversación y quedamos en contacto y gracias a ellos empecé a relacionarme con más musicos y con personas que me ayudarían en el ámbito laboral ya que en ese entonces estaba el boom petrolero en punta de mata, estado Monagas donde llevo ya 24 años en los cuales he vivido muchas experiencias a nivel musical.

On a bench in front of the Catholic church to play right there a mass was held and when it ended, three people approached me José García (the popular Pisguay), Larry Velorín and Giovanny Cabrera, today renowned artists from Punta de Mata, Monagas state, but at that time I did not know; I found myself playing a song by Ilan Chester which had a somewhat difficult execution and when they noticed me they stopped in front of me also with instruments in hand and there we started a conversation and stayed in contact and thanks to them I began to interact with more musicians and with people who would help me in the workplace since at that time there was the oil boom in Punta de Mata, Monagas state where I have been 24 years in which I have lived many experiences at the musical level.
La primera agrupación en la que participe acá en Monagas fue unión gaitera donde me desempeñaba como tecladista esa fue mi primera experiencia con una agrupación gaitera ya que como les conté antes en Maracay lo que más se escuchaba era salsa. Con ellos en presenté en muchos sitios pero una de las que considero nuestra mejor presentación fue en un amanecer gaitero en el club árabe en Maturín muy conocido acá en Monagas en el que nos fogueamos con varias agrupaciones reconocidas como Maracaibo 15, guaco y gran coquivacoa, ese fue justo el día de mi cumpleaños el 27 de diciembre, donde celebre a mas no poder haciendo lo que más me gusta. Ya después fueron conociendo mis cualidades como músico y me empezaron a buscar otros músicos para que formara parte de nuevas agrupaciones en otros estilos como el vallenato ya que en Monagas era muy diferente a Maracay en cuanto al estilo de música (los monaguenses son muy vallenateros) sin embargo habían muscos a los que les gustaban otros estilos bailables y llegamos a organizar agrupaciones como la Máxima Nota en la que me desempeñaba como percusionista la cual tenía un estilo como el de Los Master o Los Blancos.
También forme parte del grupo de gaita de la empresa PDVSA, que estaban armando un nuevo grupo musical y gracias a que ya yo era bastante conocido en el ambiente me llamaron como integrante, siendo esta una bonita experiencia ya que se trataba de una compañía que tenía mucha influencia y siempre teníamos a la mano todo lo necesario y las presentaciones eran maravillosas y contábamos con n cuerpo de cantantes muy buenos al igual que músicos de buena categoría.
Con el pasar de los años me desempeñe en varias agrupaciones pero debido a varias circunstancias fueron mermando las presentaciones de los distintos grupos, la más importante es la situación que está pasando actualmente con la pandemia que ha hecho imposible que las personas puedan salir a vernos.
Debido a esto y a que todos los años que llevo en este estado he aprendido muchas cosas de distintos maestros a nivel de albañilería, carpintería, electricidad y herrería que me han ayudado en la actualidad a desempeñarme en distintos empleos en toda la comunidad.
The first group in which I participated here in Monagas was a bagpipe union where I worked as a keyboardist. That was my first experience with a bagpipe group since, as I told you before in Maracay, what was heard the most was salsa. I performed with them in many places, but one of those that I consider our best presentation was in a piper sunrise at the Arab club in Maturín, well known here in Monagas, where we played with several recognized groups such as Maracaibo 15, guaco and gran coquivacoa, That was just my birthday on December 27, where I celebrated as much as I could by doing what I like the most. Later, they got to know my qualities as a musician and they began to look for other musicians to be part of new groups in other styles such as vallenato, since in Monagas it was very different from Maracay in terms of music style (Monagas are very Vallenato) However, there were muscos who liked other dance styles and we got to organize groups like the Maximum Note in which I was a percussionist which had a style like Los Master or Los Blancos.
I was also part of the bagpipe group of the PDVSA company, which was putting together a new musical group and thanks to the fact that I was already well known in the environment they called me as a member, this being a beautiful experience since it was a company that had a lot of influence and we always had everything we needed at hand and the presentations were wonderful and we had a body of very good singers as well as high-class musicians.
Over the years I worked in various groups but due to various circumstances the presentations of the different groups were diminishing, the most important is the situation that is currently happening with the pandemic that has made it impossible for people to come out to see us.
Because of this and because all the years that I have been in this state I have learned many things from different masters at the level of masonry, carpentry, electrical and blacksmithing that have helped me today to perform in different jobs throughout the community.
Mi Mama Icono del Municipio Ezequiel Zamora. Ella vino a Monagas siguiendo mis pasos luego de dos años de mi llegada, ya que quiso venir a conocer donde vivía yo (la preocupación de toda madre), con el pasar de los días quedo en cantada con el trato de la gente de punta de mata y con su cultura, ya que ella de por si es cultora desde muy corta edad, siempre le gusto bailar. En Maracay de donde ella es oriunda se baila mucho la música de tambor el cual ella dominaba muy bien y fue muy respetada por las bailarinas de ese ámbito ya que se hizo muy conocida por forma de bailar. En la temporada de carnaval era una de las primeras en diseñar y confeccionar sus trajes para participar en las llamadas comparsas, en cuales siempre estaba presente. Al pasar un año con la edad de 66 años y después de haber conocido bien el pueblo y gracias a que yo conocía mucha gente a nivel cultural ella hizo su primera participación en las comparsas de Maturín con el famoso traje de la borriquita (tradición nacional que se había perdido un poco acá en el estado). Y desde allí y con ese amor a presentarse en el corazón cada año participo en los carnavales en nuestro pueblo haciéndose conocer poco a poco con cada participación anual con un traje distinto confeccionado por ella misma. Gracias a la constancia en el ámbito cultural fue tomada en cuenta por las autoridades del pueblo y la nombraron icono del municipio Ezequiel Zamora parroquia punta de mata hace 8 a la edad de 79 años y en actualidad con por el factor pandemia no ha participado porque no se han hecho comparsas pero sin embargo en la actualidad con sus 87 años sigue presentándose en eventos privados dándole vida a sus trajes y a la cultura.
