Como ya todos sabemos la crisis generada por el Covit-19 ha generado estragos a nivel mundial y transformado nuestro día a día. Para los que tenemos hijos en edad escolar, además, ha sido una locura, porque nos ha tocado educarlos en casa.

As we all know, the crisis generated by Covit-19 has wreaked havoc worldwide and transformed our daily lives. For those of us who have school-age children, it has also been crazy, because we have had to educate them at home.
Gracias a Dios, ya está próxima la culminación del año escolar y una vez termine, debería bajar el estrés, al menos para nosotros los padres. Entraremos en el período vacacional, igualmente con medidas de aislamiento social, al menos aquí en Venezuela, lo que será un nuevo reto.
Thank God, the end of the school year is near, and once it's over, the stress should be down, at least for us parents. We will enter the vacation period, also with measures of social isolation, at least here in Venezuela, which will be a new challenge.
Como le acabo de mencionar, esta nueva etapa, representará un nuevo reto con nuestros hijos, porque ya no tendrán las actividades del colegio. Y por supuesto, se aburrirán más, sobre todo los más pequeños, por ello, hoy les traigo una divertida y sencilla propuesta. Pueden conseguir mucha diversión construyendo sencillas figuras de cartón o cartulina.
As I just mentioned, this new stage will represent a new challenge with our children, because they will no longer have the activities of the school. And of course, they will be more bored, especially the little ones, so today I bring you a fun and simple proposal. You can get a lot of fun by building simple figures out of cardboard or cardboard.
Esto no es ninguna novedad claro, pero, me pareció buena idea, compartir con ustedes esta opción. Todo comenzó a raíz del cumpleaños de mi hija mayor, ella me pidió que la decoración fuera de patos azules y pollitos rosados. Se que es extraño, y por supuesto pensé, de donde los sacaría, pero ni modo, cada quien con sus gustos. Y a la final, nos divertimos haciéndolos, además, que toda la decoración quedo muy linda, en otra oportunidad le mostraré.
This is not new, of course, but I thought it was a good idea to share this option with you. It all started with my eldest daughter's birthday, she asked me to decorate it with blue ducks and pink chicks. I know it's strange, and of course I thought, where would I get them, but no way, everyone with their tastes. And at the end, we had fun making them, besides, all the decoration was very nice, another time I will show you.
El proceso es muy sencillo, los materiales fáciles de encontrar y les aseguro que sus pequeños se divertirán mucho. Además, en este final de año escolar les podrán servir, para decorar las carpetas pedagógicas de los pequeños, que se deberán entregar en los colegios, al menos aquí en Venezuela. Pero no hablemos más y manos a la obra, seguidamente les presentaré los materiales y el paso a paso.
The process is very simple, the materials are easy to find and I assure you that your children will have a lot of fun. In addition, at the end of this school year, you can use them to decorate your children's teaching kits, which should be given to schools, at least here in Venezuela. But let's not talk anymore and let's get down to business. I will now introduce you to the materials and the step-by-step approach.
Materiales:
Los materiales sencillos de encontrar, básicamente solo se necesita:
• Cartulina de colores
• Hojas de papel blanco (mejor si son recicladas)
• Tijera
• Pega
• Lápices o marcadores de colores
Materials:
Simple materials to find, basically all you need:
- Colored cardboard
- White paper sheets (better if recycled)
- Scissors
- Paste
- Pencils or colored markers
Paso 1:
Como pueden ver en las imágenes que ya les he estado compartiendo, hay muchas opciones. Lo primero que deben hacer, es buscar un dibujo que les guste eso sí, debe ser de líneas simple, no muy intrincado. También lo pueden dibujar, pero como el dibujo no es una de mis habilidades, busco en internet imágenes para colorear y allí tengo miles de opciones.
Step 1:
As you can see from the images I've already been sharing with you, there are many options. The first thing you have to do, is to look for a drawing that you like, but it must be simple lines, not too intricate. You can also draw it, but as drawing is not one of my skills, I search on the Internet for images to color and there I have thousands of options.
Paso 2:
Una vez que seleccionen el dibujo, toca separar en pieza el dibujo, utilizamos las hojas blancas, preferiblemente usen recicladas si las tienen. Lo que deben hacer es calcar su dibujo, pero esta vez en piezas, me explico, calcamos por ejemplo el cuerpo, la cabeza, los accesorios, todo por separado.
Una recomendación es, ir identificando todas las piezas, primero para facilitarnos el trabajo posterior y luego por si lo queremos guardar para otra ocasión. Lo siguiente es cortar cada una de las piezas y esos serán nuestros moldes, sencillo… verdad.
Step 2:
Once you select the drawing, it's time to separate the drawing into pieces. We use the white sheets, preferably recycled if you have them. What you have to do is trace your drawing, but this time in pieces, I explain, we trace for example the body, the head, the accessories, everything separately.
One recommendation is to identify all the pieces, first to facilitate the subsequent work and then in case we want to keep it for another occasion. The next thing is to cut each one of the pieces and those will be our molds, simple... truth.
Paso 3:
Con los moldes ya cortados pasamos a transferirlos a la cartulina, los colores que utilizarán para cada pieza dependerán de su elección. Pueden guiarse, por imágenes que encuentren en la web o simplemente, hagan como yo y dejen libre su imaginación utilizando lo que tienen disponible jajajaja.
En esta etapa, como la anterior la participación de los niños, dependerá de su edad y habilidad motora del niño, ya que deben trazar líneas y recortar con tijeras. Ahora, si están en la edad adecuada, puede ser un ejercicio genial, para aquellos niños que estén en el proceso de desarrollar las destrezas motoras finas.
Step 3:
With the moulds already cut we transfer them to the cardboard, the colours they will use for each piece will depend on your choice. You can be guided by images you find on the web or simply do as I do and let your imagination go by using what you have available hahaha.
In this stage, as in the previous one, the children's participation will depend on their age and motor skills, as they must draw lines and cut with scissors. Now, if they are at the right age, it can be a great exercise, for those children who are in the process of developing fine motor skills.
Paso 4:
Si ya nos divertimos transfiriendo los moldes y luego cortando cada pieza, es el momento de armar. Tomamos pega y manos a la obra, yo utilizo una técnica, como a veces las piezas no son fáciles de ubicar en el lugar correcto. Yo uso de guía, el dibujo que utilice de modelo, como una especie de rompecabeza, así para los niños es más fácil ubicar y pegar cada una de las piezas.
Step 4:
If we already had fun transferring the molds and then cutting each piece, it's time to assemble. We take glue and get to work, I use a technique, as sometimes the pieces are not easy to place in the right place. I use a guide, the drawing I use as a model, as a kind of puzzle, so it's easier for the kids to locate and glue each piece together.
Paso 5:
Como pudieron ver en las imágenes anteriores los muñequitos se van armando como en capas, me recuerdan cuando vestíamos las muñequitas de papel. Bueno, con el muñequito armado, toca delinearlo y colocarles algún detalle que falte con marcador o lápices de colores, lo que tengan a su disposición.
Step 5:
As you can see in the previous images, the dolls are assembled in layers, reminding me of when we used to wear the paper dolls. Well, with the doll assembled, you have to outline it and put some details that are missing with marker or colored pencils, whatever you have at your disposal.
Con esto terminamos nuestro muñequito y logramos un rato agradable y de diversión con nuestros pequeños. Como les comenté, los podemos utilizar, para decorar una fiesta infantil o de cualquier edad, eso dependerá del dibujo. También para decorar carpetas, cuadernos o cualquier cosa que se nos ocurra. Es más, incluso si cortamos las piezas en tela, la podemos usar para decorar, blusas y vestidos, he visto, muchos modelos en la web. Por ahora me despido, espero que les gustara este post y que se animen a realizar, esta simple, pero divertida actividad con sus hijos.
