It was dark, I couldn't see anything. Absolute nothingness. It was a very closed space, I could tell that without seeing. The lack of air in the place made it obvious.
You could hear little noises, little disturbances in the suffocating atmosphere of the place.
rumbling all over the place.
"Where I'm supposed to be," Larry said, as he walked closer and closer to what seemed to be the only faint source of light in the place.
The closer he got, the more v0isible the silhouette of an old decrepit with a ruined cane.
"What is this place?" Larry asks the old man.
"What... Place... You mean... Mmm." The old man answers. He raises his staff with a trembling hand and proceeds to his reply; "This could well be a circle of hell or purgatory, my boy. Though I have been here long enough to... to be able to say with certainty that we are still alive. However... "He ends as he points to the sky with his cane.
"The devil, indeed, is among us."
Larry looks up slowly, guided by the cane. When he looks up at what was supposed to be the roof. He could see it. Huge bat wings, a long spearheaded tail. He could see with incredible clarity despite the darkness that ruled the place. Golden eyes that stood out in the darkness and took away all hope from those who held a stare at this creature.
