Cómo les mencioné el post de ayer, estás últimas semanas estuve bastante ocupada con el final de mi semestre, básicamente fui rellenada con tantas evaluaciones como los profesores creyeron necesarias y bueno, hoy les vengo a contar cómo fueron estos dias que estuve perdida de esta linda comunidad

Iniciaré comentando este semestre inscribí 5 materias: Inglés, Introducción Temprana a la práctica profesional (ITPP), fisiología, histología y Estadística médica, actualmente todas aprobadas con éxito.
Les explico, mi semestre realmente comenzó el pasado mes de octubre de 2021, pero por distintos motivos muchos de mis profesores no comenzaron sus materias correspondientes sino hasta inicios de este año, por lo que tuvimos bastante retraso a la hora de ver el contenido y de ser evaluados, esto no me pareció tan malo un principio, pero cuando nos tocó el momento de evaluaciones, todo se juntó y se volvió un total desastre, no se respetaron horarios, ni tiempos, cada profesor tiraba hacia su materia y nosotros nos dividimos en mil para lograr presentar 10 evaluaciones en 7 días, cada una más extensa que la anterior.
I will begin by commenting that this semester I enrolled in 5 subjects: English, Early Introduction to Professional Practice (ITPP), physiology, histology and medical statistics, all of which I passed with flying colors. Let me explain, my semester really began last October 2021, but for various reasons many of my teachers did not start their corresponding subjects until the beginning of this year, so we had quite a delay when it came to see the content and be evaluated, this did not seem so bad at first, but when it was time for evaluations, everything came together and became a total disaster, no schedules or times were respected, each teacher pulled to his subject and we were divided into a thousand to submit 10 evaluations in 7 days, each more extensive than the previous one.
La más predominante de todas mis materias fue fisiología, con la que tuve una especie de relación amor/odio, me encantaba el contenido que se daba, porque con el entendías todos los procesos del cuerpo, te ayuda mucho de base real para diagnosticar enfermedades, por mucho es una de las materias más interesantes que he visto en la carrera. Mi razón de decir que la "odio" (aunque no llegué hasta este punto para serles sincera) es que mis profesores tuvieron una pequeña incongruencia; dónde ver clases presenciales era peligroso por los contagios de COVID-19, pero para presentar evaluaciones no existía tal riesgo, por lo que no pude disfrutar plenamente de las explicaciones de la materia pero si sentir la presión de rendir en examenes presenciales.
The most predominant of all my subjects was physiology, with which I had a kind of love/hate relationship, I loved the content that was given, because with it you understood all the processes of the body, it helps you a lot of real basis to diagnose diseases, by far one of the most interesting subjects I've seen in the race. My reason to say that I "hate it" (although I did not get to this point to be honest) is that my teachers had a small inconsistency; where to see face-to-face classes was dangerous because of COVID-19 contagions, but to present evaluations there was no such risk, so I could not fully enjoy the explanations of the subject but I could feel the pressure of performing in face-to--face exams.

Otra cosa que sucedió con esta materia y la más incómoda por así decirlo, es que tuvimos un percance con uno de los profesores, al que hicimos molestar gracias a un meme que se pasó por el grupo de WhatsApp (dónde el no estaba, pero aún así llegó a sus oídos) y bueno, digamos que ese señor estuvo tan pero tan molesto con nosotros que nos hizo su examen el día antes de terminar el semestre, avisándonos con 3 días de anticipación, y teniendo en cuenta que su tema era el más difícil (Cardiovascular) nos hizo un examen que básicamente nadie pudo pasar, su servidora sacó 4/10, y no me pregunten cómo llegué tan lejos🤣
Another thing that happened with this subject and the most uncomfortable so to speak, is that we had a mishap with one of the professors, whom we made annoying thanks to a meme that was passed through the WhatsApp group (where he was not, but still reached his ears) and well, let's say that this gentleman was so but so annoyed with us that he gave us his exam the day before the end of the semester, warning us 3 days in advance, and taking into account that his subject was the most difficult (Cardiovascular) he gave us an exam that basically no one could pass, yours truly got 4/10, and don't ask me how I got so far🤣.

Aparte de el trauma con el profesor que nos quería reprobar a como diera lugar, los otros dos que daban fisiología fueron un amor (esta materia es compartida por 3 profesores, cada uno evalúa un tema específico) y aunque la materia básicamente fue dada y evaluada en una semana, me gustó mucho haberla visto y aprobado con éxito.

Cómo ya les comenté, inscribí otras 4 materias más este semestre, pero ingles e introducción a la práctica profesional (ITPP) no fueron ni de cerca tan relevantes como fisiología.
Ahora sí me preguntas por estadística te diré que fue la única materia dada de forma presencial, aquí mi grupo y yo hicimos básicamente una tesis en una noche, la presentamos y nos fue mejor de lo que esperábamos... Aún así algo triste fue que el profesor me bajo un punto de mi nota final por motivos que no mencionaré ya que incluye a más personas, pero si les diré que me puso muy triste ya que merecía mi nota completa y ambos lo sabíamos, otra cosa es que generalmente no le prestó mucha atención a mis notas siempre que apruebe y no soy una persona intensa de las que pelean por un punto, pero este semestre estaba intentando mejorar mucho mi promedio total pues eso es tomado en cuenta en mi universidad a la hora de hacer tu inscripción semestral, y obviamente los cupos con los mejores profesores vuelan, pero bueno, el próximo semestre será mejor.
As I already mentioned, I enrolled in 4 other subjects this semester, but English and Introduction to Professional Practice (ITPP) were not nearly as relevant as physiology. Now if you ask me about statistics I will tell you that it was the only subject given in person, here my group and I basically did a thesis in one night, we presented it and it went better than we expected.... Still something sad was that the professor took a point off my final grade for reasons that I will not mention since it includes more people, but I will tell you that it made me very sad since I deserved my full grade and we both knew it, another thing is that he usually did not pay much attention to my grades whenever I pass and I am not an intense person of those who fight for a point, but this semester I was trying to improve my GPA a lot because that is taken into account in my university when it comes to make your semester enrollment, and obviously the spots with the best professors fly, but well, next semester will be better.
Por último les hablaré de mi materia favorita de todo el semestre: Histología. Al principio fue una materia a la que le tenía miedo, pues leer un corte histologico no es nada fácil, pero ví la materia con una profesora tan buena y tan entregada al tema que terminamos apodandola Maestra Miel, por lo dulce que fue, por lo excelente que explicó y por su dedicación a la hora de enseñarnos todo su contenido, sin importar que la metodología online nos pusiera el camino de lo más difícil. Al final lo que comenzó siendo miedo, terminó siendo la materia que más entendí y que más me gustó. Fue tanta su diferencia con el resto de los profesores, que mis compañeros y yo decidimos darle un presente al terminar el semestre, pues consideramos que lo bueno merece premiado.
Finally I will tell you about my favorite subject of the whole semester: Histology. At first it was a subject that I was afraid of, because reading a histological section is not easy, but I saw the subject with a teacher so good and so dedicated to the subject that we ended up nicknaming her Maestra Miel, for how sweet she was, for how excellent she explained and for her dedication when it came to teaching us all the content, regardless of the online methodology that made it difficult for us. In the end, what started out as fear, ended up being the subject I understood the most and liked the most. He was so different from the rest of the teachers, that my classmates and I decided to give him a present at the end of the semester, because we believe that what is good deserves to be rewarded.

Al final del día, me encuentro bastante feliz porque como ya les dije pude aprobar todas las materias de mi semestre, me siento mucho más motivada de lo que esperaba, disfrutando de mis merecidas vacaciones y a la espera del comienzo del nuevo semestre, que ojalá, sea totalmente presencial. Oh... Y otra cosa más, hace unas horas pude entrar a la plataforma escolar y... Obtuve un reconocimiento por mi promedio este semestre y no creo que entiendan lo mucho que eso significa para mí.
At the end of the day, I am quite happy because as I told you I was able to pass all the subjects of my semester, I feel much more motivated than I expected, enjoying my well-deserved vacation and waiting for the beginning of the new semester, which hopefully, will be totally face-to-face. Oh... And one more thing, a few hours ago I was able to enter the school platform and.... I got a recognition for my average this semester and I don't think you understand how much that means to me.
