Good morning everyone,
This beautiful morning I want to share with you my latest bag design. I made this bag yesterday and it's the same designs I made in the "Kenzie" collections of my bags. Just that I upgraded this a little by putting inner zip.
The bag is a medium size bag with leather chains as handle.
I used simple materials for the bag and they imclude:
- Leather of choice
- Fibre
- Gum
- Suade material for lining
- Eyelet
- Bottom pin
- Zip and zip head
- Cardboard for the lining
- Soft leather for the sides
PROCESS
- The first thing I did was to mark the pattern (I've made the pattern before) on the Fibre and cut it out. After that i did the same on the leather of choice and cut it out with little allowance for the side camping. After that I gummed them both together. I did the same for the sides bit instead of using fibre I used soft leather for flexibility. I also cut out their respective lining.
- Next I gummed a piece of cardboard to the upper part of the lining and I marked the part where I'll be fixing the zip, cut out a regular rectangular hole and I sew the zip with it. The picture is self explanatory.
- After sewing, I turned the outside in and I sew it round. Next I sew the four corners of the inner zip round too after fixing the zip head.
- Finally, I gummed the lining with the main body of the bag and I did the same for the sides too. Once that was set, I fixed the lock, bottom pins and the eyelet. Then I sew the sides of the bag with the main body of the bag.
