There are different kinds of toilets that are used in my country in Nigeria and some of them includes water system, pit toilet, shot put etc. The reason for this blog is because of my recent Discovery on what some landlords are doing presently in the homes for rental.
Recently, I was house hunting and came across a building through an agent, when I saw this building I was happy because it was a brand new building . I had thought in my mind that it will be perfect with all the standard amenities in place. But reverse was the case when I got into the room and discovered that in a self-contained apartment we had a bathroom separate from the toilet. I didn't think of it as anything but when I checked it to see I was surprised and downcasted because it was a pit toilet (modern)
Not that anything is wrong with it, I didn't expect a standard modern building that would be used to rent would use such a thing. Yes, it saves water but it is still not ideal especially in a self-contained apartment.
Immediately I saw that, I lost interest immediately and started looking for another option. To make the whole thing worse, the guy said the rent is 250k.
When house hunting you get to see the good, bad and ugly. One just has to be patient so as not to make mistakes.
