So, i will continue my trekking adventure here. I arrived to the Laguna Negra refugge after six hours and a half of trekking with my bagpack-19kg- in my legs. When i finally see the spot places it was everithing with snow, and really wet. The problem with that is that night is more freezing if you build your tent there. It wasn other place. I was exhausted without any gram of energy in my body, but night was close so i had to do that. After that i went inside the refugge to have some hot water and chat with some people.
Inside the cabin it was full of people, and i made some friends fast. My mission was to find anyone to do the 5 days trekking together, because alone it would be really dangerous and risky. I talked with the owner of the refugges and he told me that if i would lost or hurt myself nobody would help me in that road, so i was scared. But in my mind i knew that i would go to that trekking. Finally i find two trekkings friend: Sofía and Joaquin, both from Buenos Aires also. And in the next morning after cheking the maps we would continue the adventure together.
We need to walk this lakes in the first 3 days, and then in the next map we had the road for the 4th and 5th day of trekking. In total it was a 50 km trekking all over the mountains.
That morning, I was prepared at 10 am to start the trekking but my friends were sleeping yet, so i waited in the refugge. Five more people was planning to do that trekking also and they were talking with the owner of the refugge. All of us were really happy and excited to do that some of them travel from Europe to do it.
Finally at 11 am we started the walk. That day was a 7 hours of walking day, so it was a hard one. At the beggining we needed to cross all the lake of laguna negra arround the right side of it, but the problem was that there were a lot of huge rocks and we used a rope to climb that part. After that we arrived to the top of the laguna negra spot and, from there we saw one of the most beautifull landscapes that i see in the mountain. In fron of us The Tronador, the biggest mountain of the area. It was such a mistical experience to see that just in the beggining of that long trekking day.
It was impossible to resist the temptation of not taking a photo there so here it is.
As you can see iwas with good equipment and good humor so that was possitive.
But after this amazing moment, the hard part beggins. We need to arrive to the lake that you can see behind me in the last photo. So we needed to go down to the wet valley that was in front and then went up all near the river that you can see also in the photo. It seems not so steppy, but i can say to you that it was a crazy steepy road. Our bags were still with a lot of food to six days of hiking, so that makes things more difficult.
After go down we crossed with a couple of frenchs. And we stopped together in a beauty river to have some snack and change our socks. When you have wet socks its really possible to harm them, and after that you are over. So we realy took care of our feets.
This was the magical river, where we stopped.
We took a breack there, and then again to walk in the road. We were walking 5 minutes and suddenly we saw a really tall and old man with grey hair and maybe 67 years old. He seemed scary and a little bit lost. So he started to walk with us. We started to go up and up. The vegetation was really dense in that moment. It was full of caña colihue, wich is a really invasive plant wich is really similar to bamboo. It was really difficult to walk without scratching your face and body with the plants and the problem was that the grade of the road was more and more. I remembered me walking 10 steps and then breathing and drinking water, and then again the same process. Sometimes we had to cross huge trees inthe middle of the road, climbing them and then finding the road to continue our walk. It was crazy and the worst moment of the day.
But after that nightmare, we got the big price. We finally arrived to Laguna CAB , our second lake of the five lakes trekking.
No words to express how we felt in that moment walking inside the lake refreshing our feets and souls.
All was great and amazing, but suddenly i started to feel a pain in my feets, because the water was really cold. Also sometimes i put my feet in some sharp rocks and the pain was crazy, but we dont have other option just coninue.
After 6 hours of hard work and effort we finally arrived to the spot where we were allowed to camp. The place was quiet and during the night we could see the star shining in all the sky. It was a unfforgeting space and experience. Also we suspect that some animals were near us, and we was afraid about the Puma, wich is a huge cat of this area. But we dont see him, thanks to god !
