Almost 14 days after I have produced my first block on Hive, I have just, a few hours ago, produced my second one.
I have too few votes to get blocks more often, I am positioned at #241 on the rank of witnesses (#142 in the rank of active witnesses) with 117MV voting power voted for me.
I get almost 1.25 Hive Power per block produced, but because the blockchain only assigns around 2 blocks a month to my node, we can say I would get, optimistically, under 3 Hive Power a month.
I have pre-paid almost $450 dollars for 1 year of server hosting, so even if Hive was at $1 or even $2, I would be far for break even. But that is ok.
Most witnesses below the top 20 just accept they can't break even.
The major proposal I am supporting right now is for the HBD APY to go from 10% to 12%. I was supporting the increase from 7% to 10% before it was more widely accepted, and now I think that 12% is ideal.
If we managed to do this change I think we could stop there and don't increase any further, and wait and promote Hive for a few months to see if it attracts more people for it's DeFi capabilities. That would be great for Hive and Hive-Engine.
