 Hola, mi nombre es Jamileth; quienes me conocen cariñosamente me llaman “Jami”. Tal como el título de mi presentación, he aprendido a reinventarme de manera permanente. Soy una mujer responsable, comprometida, disciplinada, empática, positiva y amorosa. Actualmente cuento 36 años vividos a plenitud, cargados de grandes aprendizajes.

Hello, my name is Jamileth; those who know me, affectionately call me "Jami". Just like the title of my presentation, I have learned to reinvent myself permanently. I am a responsible, committed, disciplined, empathetic, positive and loving woman. Currently I count 36 years lived to the fullest, full of great learning.<

 Nací en una familia humilde y crecí en un barrio caraqueño, lo que me hace sentir orgullosa de tener unos padres que se preocuparon por brindarme lo más valioso: educación, amor y por escuchar mi opinión, mi forma de pensar y de sentir desde muy pequeña. Se esforzaron en preparar mis alas para que se desplegaran con firmeza y emprendieran el vuelo para alcanzar mis propios sueños.
 
 >I was born into a humble family and grew up in a Caracas neighborhood, which makes me feel proud to have parents who cared about giving me the most valuable things: education, love and listening to my opinion, my way of thinking and feeling from a very young age. They made an effort to prepare my wings to spread firmly and take flight to reach my own dreams.<

Soy esposa de un hombre maravilloso, quien me ha dejado ser yo misma desde siempre, sin restricciones ni ataduras. Disfruto mi vida junto a él y admiro su preocupación por el bienestar familiar y su forma sencilla de ver el mundo.

 >I am the wife of a wonderful man, who has always let me be myself, without restrictions or ties. I enjoy my life with him and I admire his concern for my family's well-being and his simple way of seeing the world.<

 Mi gran maestro se llama José Enrique, un niño de 5 años que me ha enseñado el verdadero significado del amor y me convirtió en “mamá azul”. Desde que era un bebé noté que era diferente, hasta que a los 2 años y medio fue diagnosticado con autismo (moderado, no verbal). Sin embargo, el diagnóstico no es pronóstico, por lo que con terapias, amor, mucha paciencia y FE veo a diario pequeños milagros en mi hijo.    

 >My great teacher's name is José Enrique, a 5 year old boy who has taught me the true meaning of love and turned me into "mama blue". Since he was a baby I noticed he was different, until he was diagnosed with autism (moderate, non-verbal) at the age of 2 and a half. However, the diagnosis is not prognostic, so with therapies, love, lots of patience and FE I see daily small miracles in my son. <

 Mi vida laboral ha girado en torno a un aula de clases tradicional ¡Y vaya que lo he disfrutado! Soy profesora de Geografía e Historia, con Maestría en Enseñanza de la Historia y Doctorado en Cultura y Arte Latinoamericana y Caribeña. He dedicado parte de mi vida profesional y académica a la docencia de Educación Media (bachillerato, preparatoria) y universitaria, así como a la producción de libros y artículos de investigación y tutoría de trabajos de grado. También soy promotora de lactancia materna y de la inclusión de niños en el espectro del autismo.

 >My working life has revolved around a traditional classroom, and boy, have I enjoyed it! I am a Geography and History teacher, with a Master's degree in History Teaching and a PhD in Latin American and Caribbean Culture and Art. I have dedicated part of my professional and academic life to teaching middle school (high school, high school) and university, as well as to the production of books and research articles and tutoring of graduate work. I am also a promoter of breastfeeding and the inclusion of children on the autism spectrum.<

 Hace dos años comencé a cantar en un grupo musical. No estaba contemplado en mi proyecto de vida, pero en uno de los insondables giros del destino, terminé como vocalista de Chiquita Cumbia (se interpretan géneros latinos como salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia y algo de música urbana). Desde muy joven he tenido facilidad para el canto; fue un amigo de toda la vida quien me motivó e impulsó a adentrarme en el maravilloso mundo de la música ¡Y no me quejo! Ha sido una experiencia estupenda, que conjuntamente con la maternidad, me ha dejado, por instantes, fuera de foco. Luego de reflexionar, me he dado cuenta que han ampliado mi visión del mundo.

 >Two years ago I started singing in a musical group. It was not contemplated in my life project, but in one of the unfathomable twists of fate, I ended up as the vocalist of Chiquita Cumbia (Latin genres such as salsa, merengue, bachata, cumbia and some urban music are performed). Since I was very young I have had a knack for singing; it was a lifelong friend who motivated me and encouraged me to enter the wonderful world of music and I'm not complaining! It has been a wonderful experience, which together with motherhood, has left me, for moments, out of focus. Upon reflection, I have realized that it has broadened my vision of the world.<

 Una de las cosas que más disfruto, sin duda, es viajar. Me encanta la playa, la montaña, la llanura o conocer el casco histórico de cualquier ciudad o pueblo que tenga la oportunidad de visitar. En principio, intento conocer Venezuela, el paraíso terrenal que me vio nacer, cuya exuberante naturaleza ha reunido en un mismo territorio la majestuosidad del Mar Caribe, la imponencia de Los Andes y la diversidad de la selva amazónica, por solo mencionar algunas de las bondades de mi tierra. De igual manera, he disfrutado conocer algunas ciudades de Latinoamérica, su gastronomía y su gente.

 >One of the things I enjoy the most, without a doubt, is traveling. I love the beach, the mountains, the plains or getting to know the historic center of any city or town I have the opportunity to visit. In principle, I try to get to know Venezuela, the earthly paradise where I was born, whose exuberant nature has brought together in the same territory the majesty of the Caribbean Sea, the imposing Andes and the diversity of the Amazon jungle, just to mention some of the goodness of my land. Likewise, I have enjoyed getting to know some Latin American cities, their gastronomy and their people.<

 Toda mi vida he luchado con el sobrepeso. Desde niña he sido gordita, por lo que recurrí a miles de dietas distintas y tratamientos para adelgazar. Hace dos años comprendí que lo primero que debo cambiar es mi forma de pensar, fortalecer la mente para mantener la constancia en un estilo de vida saludable. Comencé a hacer ejercicios y ser más selectiva en lo que como. Estuve practicando Spinning por un año. Dejé de hacerlo por la pandemia del Covid-19, pero he continuado con ejercicios en casa. Cada día me acerco más a mis objetivos: cuerpo y mente saludables.

 >All my life I have struggled with being overweight. Since I was a child I have been chubby, so I resorted to a thousand different diets and treatments to lose weight. Two years ago I realized that the first thing I have to change is my way of thinking, strengthen my mind to maintain consistency in a healthy lifestyle. I started to exercise and be more selective in what I eat. I was practicing Spinning for a year. I stopped because of the Covid-19 pandemic, but I have continued to exercise at home. Every day I get closer to my goals: healthy body and mind.<

 Soy una cocinera empírica. Disfruto preparando diversos platillos agregándoles un toque personal, por lo general, para consentir a mi familia. En tiempos de crisis, he realizado panes y tortas para vender, generando un ingreso económico adicional.

 >I am an empirical cook. I enjoy preparing various dishes adding a personal touch, usually to pamper my family. In times of crisis, I have made breads and cakes to sell, generating an additional income.<

 Vivo en Venezuela, donde la crisis económica y política - muy conocida en el mundo- ha deteriorado el poder adquisitivo de nuestra moneda nacional, por lo que el  ingreso en bolívares, producto de mi trabajo como profesora universitaria, es casi imperceptible. Esta situación me ha hecho reflexionar en torno a la necesidad de hacerme responsable de transformar mis ingresos haciendo lo que me gusta, por lo que he buscado diferentes formas de lograr mis objetivos.

  >I live in Venezuela, where the economic and political crisis - well known in the world - has deteriorated the purchasing power of our national currency, so that the income in bolivars, product of my work as a university professor, is almost imperceptible. This situation has made me reflect on the need to take responsibility for transforming my income by doing what I like, so I have sought different ways to achieve my goals.<

 La era 3.0 nos ha planteado grandes desafíos y una forma distinta de ver el mundo. Es momento de apostar a la socialización del conocimiento y de las experiencias, y qué mejor manera de hacerlo que a través de Hive.
