Recientemente comence la rotacion pediatrica y sinceramente ha sido un gran cambio, definitivamente es un mundo diferente.
Podemos empezar que nuestros residentes son mucho mas amigables, el trato con las madres y por supuesto con los niños debe ser aun mayor.
I recently started pediatric rotation and it has honestly been a big change, it is definitely a different world.
We can begin that our residents are much friendlier, the treatment with mothers and of course with children must be even greater.
Las guardias son largas y agotantes pero en ningun momento dejan de ser entretenidas, se debe ir al llamado de cualquier niño que llegue, los familiares se tornan muy preocupados y siempre buscan ayudar en lo que este a su disposicion.
The guards are long and exhausting but at no time they stop being entertaining, you must go to the call of any child who arrives, the relatives become very concerned and always seek to help in what is at their disposal.
Rotamos dentro de pediatria por distintos servicios, ya sea pediatria medica, quirurgica, oncologica, entre otras.
We rotate within pediatrics for different services, be it medical, surgical, oncological pediatrics, among others.
I remember that this day, we had a 2-year-old boy hospitalized, who, for undefined reasons, had a small epicranial myiasis, we removed a couple of larvae, performed the cure and kept him under observation
En este momento me encuentro en el servicio de reten, aqui llegan todos los niños recien nacidos que tienen algun problema en su nacimiento, o traen consigo alguna enfermedad que les imposibilite estar en sus hogares. Nosotros nos encargamos de tratarlos, estabilizarlos y poderlos egresar a sus hogares para que mantengan una vida normal.
At this moment I am in the retention service, here all the newborn children arrive who have a problem at birth, or bring with them some disease that makes it impossible for them to be at home. We take care of treating them, stabilizing them and being able to return them to their homes to maintain a normal life.
